Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum are good. The university also give priority to extra Curriculum to improve ones personality. Exam are held after ever 6 month till the completion of the course. There are also mid term exam held between each semester.
Placement Experience
Placements and job opportunities depend on the subjects you choose to pursue. For example MBA, Engineering etc have more opportunities than the traditional course such as english, historty etc Regarding internships it is also dependent on the department. Some course doesn't require internships but for some it is mandatory. Stipen for internship is depand on the organisation that offer internship program.

There are many events celebrated in the University. They are PGSU elections: This election is held every year for electing the students leaders who will be representative in various matters of the University Varsity Week: this is an annual event of this university. During this event students of various departments showcase their talent in various field such as sports, cultural etc

There are many things to do in the University apart from the academic. There are many good facilities offered by the University. One can play sports and can even represent the University in national level. Same as for others activities such as cultural.
Hostel Facilities
Yes, Hostel infrastructure are good. Bt the main problem is with the mess. The food quality is not upto the mark. It need to be upgraded and need to be hygiene. The surrounding area and the wash room also need a lot of improvement.

To get admission in Gauhati University Post Graduate Course one must complete a bachelor degree. He/she must apply online through the official website. He/she must appear the entrance. Based on the mark score he/she is being called for admission
Faculty
The faculties are highly educated as well as there are more faculties aged above 50yrs then the young ones. The post of faculty are vacant in many departments of the University.
