Remarks

Positive: sports activities, trifest, techfest, faculties. Negative: Lab, placement oppurtunities. Management could have been better. A student requires good placement oppurtunities but this college lack in that part

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum could have been better. We are studying electronics but there is no career oppurtunities like emplyment oppurtunities that we should expect from college. We need to find employment oppurtunities in different state.

Placement Experience

Placements oppurtunities are mostly for IT related. College doesn't provide internship. We need to search for internship oppurtunities. Placements for IT are mostly support/BPO jobs. We can say they are non-development projects

College Events

1. Techfest: fun activities, technical activities related to branch, 2. Trifest: college annual fest. Prize ditribution and cultural activities, 3. Inter branch cricket tournament, 4. Inter college sports.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Expensive: college fees is nearly 90K per year. In which university fees is 59000. Rest amount is said to be for development but never saw any such activity. Yes that can be affordable but thing is this much amount is not required.

Fees and Financial Aid

Prerna: A scholarship where students get 12000 per year. This is for odisha students not sure if any other state individual can avail it. As such there is no loan facility. So everything is uncertain.

Campus Life

Participation in techfest, trifest and sports activities these are good. Labs could have been better including faculties. Lab faculties are bit inexperienced hence couldn't get in depth knowledge of the devices. Hand on experience is one of the best a student can understand the theme

Alumni/Alumna

No comments. They are not helpful. Very few seniors are helpful in guiding their juniors. Most of them don't know about their own future. So you can think how much helpful they are and what we can expect from them.

Admission

I gave OJEE entrance exam. Got rank, then came to college. Chose the stream and gave admission fees. They made us stand in queue. Then filled personal details like family details, education history. Verified documents and got admission

Faculty

Faculties of the college are very good. They have better understanding of their subject. Lab faculties are bit inexperienced hence couldn't get in depth knowledge of the devices. Hand on experience is one of the best a student can understand the theme

Placement Experience:

So from 7th semester plcements are starting.Various Tech and Non Tech companies are also coming like TCS ,Accenture, Cognizant, Delloitte, InfoSys, KFinTech, Incture, GyanSys, Iserveu for Tech branches. and PRADAN, Aditya Birla etc for Non tech branches. Students also getting offers from OffCampus like RedHat ,CISCO ,Amazon ,Google. From On Campus Highest Package goes upto 12 to 15LPA and lowest is 4.5 but average is 5 to 6 LPA which is comperable. And about almost all are who are opting for placements got placed eventually.

After 6th semester the students get eligible for company placement. There are huge companies visited every year for the placement and many big MNCs like Amazon offers 100seats , Wipro offers 200, detollite offers 100, microsoft offers 10, ITC offers 150 , Infosys offers 300, TCS offers 200, Flipkart offers 150 and many more . Every year almost 80% of the students get placed at a good company with a minimum of 4 lakhs . After getting the degree I am planning to get placed in a multi national company like Amazon or Microsoft

See basically you placement depends on you .If you work hard you will get placed with a good package.In our college last year the avg package for CSE was around 13 Lakh per annum and highest was about 39 lakh per annum.Companies like Amazon,oracle Microsoft etc visited our college .After 4 th or 5 th semester i Think we are all capable of getting placed .

In 5th semester the campus is coming to give you jobs. The company are vedant ltd, jsw, tata, reliance etc, outside companies also come. Maruti Suzuki. 60 to 70 per cent of students gate the job. I am also job junior engineer at Tata.

Courses and instructors are good, but don't expect a rocking campus life here.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this college without planning as I couldn't get a desired seat in IIT. But I think it was for good. The course is a wonderful primer on the path of becoming a scientist. Compared to other colleges, IISER Berhampur has a quite good faculty: student ratio. But most of them are pretty good as people and as teachers. We manage to conduct all classes without fail. But I'd like to see an increase in the number so that the research area can be broadened. The faculty here have all completed their Ph.D. and postdoc and all have some good prior experience in research and teaching. I like most of the instructors that have taught me except for a few one or two. The exam schedule is given right with the calendar release of each semester before the semester starts. Sometimes there might be changes in the schedule but we are informed around 2-3 weeks earlier in that case. Exams are not hard to pass if you attend classes and study sincerely. Questions are not asked beyond the concepts being taught.

Life at BGU

Placement Experience:

After the summer internship. The college started giving campus placement training and during the month of September, students got placement already. Companies like TATA AIG, Collegedunia, Federal Bank, Delloite, ADP, TCI, SIS, HDFC AMC. IDFC BANK. Practo, ADVARISK, AXIS BANK. Property pistol came and took a maximum of students. The highest package was offered by international companies like property pistol with 22 lac CTC and average being 5lacs. Mostly the profile was on sales and marketing. only a few fintech companies could recruit students. Till now around 96% of students are placed in different domains and already started working. I am fortunate enough to get placed in the FEDERAL bank with 10lac CTC and as a fresher joining such a big company will be extremely grateful to the college and its placement team. They personally look after students drawback by the feedback they get from the recruitment teams and suggest where to improve and give a number of opportunities to seat for the company.

All are good,but only fooding quality is below the level.And also it does not have any playground available to play outdoors games.only it have not a playground but this college have good class room,WiFi campus, Computer centre,canteen, language lab and hostel are there.

Trident is a private college and in 2021 it was the only college we could afford. In other hand i had another college silicon institute of technology in my mind but the admission fees was on a higher side.
