Remarks

Overall GOOD, NOT BEST Academics- Syllabus are completed on time. Faculties are good. All are MTECH & PHD Holders. Communication between town and college is not so good. Hostel facility is good. Current is also available due to generator in power cut.

Course Curriculum Overview

Exam is semester wise, Total 8 sem, 1sem in every 6 month. Their are around 6 subjects in each smester. Mark is calculated out of 10. That is in CGPA System. Total mark is calculated by adding 8 semesters mark.

Placement Experience

Internship facility are worst. Placement is best for onlyMining engineering branch. Top recruiters are 1 - VEDANTA RESOURCES PLC 2- IMFA LTD. 3- FAVOR 4- AAC 5- ISPAT But company like Vedanta Gives more salary like 8 lakhs per annum.

Freshers party- for new students Farewall party - for seniors Annual cultural Events - drawing, singing, dancing, technical and different types of programme like teachers day, students day and Independence Day are also celebrated.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fesaible. Around 42000 to 45000 including transportation fee per year. But for TFW Candidates 32000- 35000. The fees is paid to college through bank. No cash transaction are performed. As it is a govt. College fees are less.

Scholarship facility for general students 10000 per year. Total 40000 in BTECH 4 YEAR PROGRAMME. FOT ST, SC, OBC PRERANA ODISHA SCHOLARSHIPS Around 40000 per year And in case of OBC students 4000- 10000 per year.

Campus Life

Fresher programs for new students. Farewell party is also organized for senior students. Different type of Events like Techfest, quiz, drawing competition are organised. Another activities like plantion of tree.

Hostel Facilities

Yes. Hostel facility is good. Current is also available due to generator in power cut. Breakfasts, lunch, dinner is given. Hostel price is also economic. Around 35000 per year. One room is allocated for 3 students. Wifi facility is also available for students.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network for Mining Engineering branch is best. The alumni president is GM (ADITYA BIRLA GROUP). Another alumni are also in well company like in TATA STEEL, VEDANTA, COAL INDIA LTD., SAIL, MOIL.

After your 12th exam, Apply for JEEMAIN (JEEMAIN.NIC.IN), Then by using your All india rank in JEEMAIN. Apply for counseling process ( oyee.Nic.In), after that when you selected, take admission in college

Faculty

Factually are Good 70% are permanent and 30% are temporary. How ever temporary faculty are also MTECH, PHD Holders. High technology labs are also used for teaching of students. Overall teaching facility is also good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

For csit the subjects kee changing accroding to the trendy stuffs that are currently going on but it was really hard to keep with that when all your subjects are changed and you have o idea or previous year qs to geta reference from. Exams are conducted continously with no gaps and its not a easy stuff students get lot of stress but still somehow manage.

A Complete Review of KIIT University from a Student's View

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at KIIT are quite good, especially for us the CSE students.The eligibility criteria for campus placements starts from 7th semester. Many well-known companies visit the university every year like TATA Consultancy Services , Infosys, Wipro, Accenture and Capgemini.The average package offered is around 6-8 lakhs and highest package offered around per yr avg is 50-60 lakhs.The percentage of students getting placements is around 90% plus in average per yr. After completing my degree, i plan to work in software industry and gain more experience in the field of technology

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.

Placement Experience:

So from 7th semester plcements are starting.Various Tech and Non Tech companies are also coming like TCS ,Accenture, Cognizant, Delloitte, InfoSys, KFinTech, Incture, GyanSys, Iserveu for Tech branches. and PRADAN, Aditya Birla etc for Non tech branches. Students also getting offers from OffCampus like RedHat ,CISCO ,Amazon ,Google. From On Campus Highest Package goes upto 12 to 15LPA and lowest is 4.5 but average is 5 to 6 LPA which is comperable. And about almost all are who are opting for placements got placed eventually.

After 6th semester the students get eligible for company placement. There are huge companies visited every year for the placement and many big MNCs like Amazon offers 100seats , Wipro offers 200, detollite offers 100, microsoft offers 10, ITC offers 150 , Infosys offers 300, TCS offers 200, Flipkart offers 150 and many more . Every year almost 80% of the students get placed at a good company with a minimum of 4 lakhs . After getting the degree I am planning to get placed in a multi national company like Amazon or Microsoft

Placements are ok but majority of the placement are for the IT and Cse sectors, but there are some core companies which offers a good packages. Around 40-50 % students pare placed in the companies and more over most of the students are up for the higher studies and cracking GATE exam.

See basically you placement depends on you .If you work hard you will get placed with a good package.In our college last year the avg package for CSE was around 13 Lakh per annum and highest was about 39 lakh per annum.Companies like Amazon,oracle Microsoft etc visited our college .After 4 th or 5 th semester i Think we are all capable of getting placed .

Life of a student in government college of engineering keonjhar

You have to give jee mains and ojee examination to get admission in our college. As my rank was not upto the mark to get admission into vssut or outer but I was fortunate enough to get admission into this college. I would recommend this college if your rank is between 1.5lakh and above. This is the best college you will get in this rank in terms of placements .
