Remarks

The college in itself is very good with not mych criticism on my behalf. Its infrastructure needs to be improved substantially compared to the colleges in other major cities, it lacs several basic amenities and a clean surroundings thats very much needed.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course is great with a great salary. Although security at job is very bad with patients thrashing doctors every other day. There are 9 semester examinations with theory and viva. And 4 professional exams. Individual depts may choose to take more exams

Placement Experience

5

Job opportunities are great. There is a mandatory internship of a year with a stipend of about 25,000 a month. The work hours are pretty exhausting with some days requiring work to last for over 24 hours at a stretch

College Events

2.5

There are several events. The college fest spandan, The cultural festival roshnai, The annual freahers programme, Rabindra jayanti celebrations, Saraswati puja celebrations, Convocation ceremony, Apart from these there are various seminars and meetings.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Its very feasible with each semesters costing 4500. That makes the total fees to be 40,500 fpr the entire course. Thats not at all expensive and can be paid by almost anyone. Comparatively a private college charges 12 lacs per annum

Fees and Financial Aid

There are some scholarships available provided by the state government and not by the college. You se the college is a state owned government college so all expemses and scholarships are provided by it. There is one for OBC students and another fpr economically backward students.

Campus Life

2.5

There are respective labs for all the departments that need one. ie. Biochemistry lab, physiology lab, microbiology lab, pharmacalogy lab, pathology lab, anatomy dissection hall, etc. They are pretty good with all the facilities. The instuments are broken mostly. But they work just fine

Alumni/Alumna

Not that i know many of them, but the ones i know are extremely helpfula nd would do whatever they think is the vest for us. Several of our alumini members are employed by the hospital itself where they work as the house staffs and several are employed as the professora of our college.

Admission

Wbjee examination followed by 3 rounds of counselling which lasted over a month. Nowadays the state exams have been replaced by N.E.E.T. So people will have to give that exam in order to get an admission.

Faculty

4

The faculty is great with profound and experienced doctors. Who have awesome experience in their feild of work. They are helpful and tend to take extra classes if and when required. They also try to inculcate interest towards their particular subjects

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is completely based on NMC new guidelines. Along with the theory classes where we know the structure and their working in dissection we actually see them on cadaver . Lectures should be more interesting as it's get boring to literally listen the concepts for first time like a story and at the end we forget everything

Course Curriculum Overview:

Medical field is a really good field in my opinion to serve humankind and learn about science of nature and life!the curriculum is a little overpaced and there are 19 subjects which are taught in a timespan of 4.5 years which is a bit hectic! There are 4 professional exams and 9 semesters which have pretty good difficulty and assess our skills and education. We have regular examinations in around 4-5 months each. Only thing id like to change in the curriculum is better assessment of many topics which are taught pretty well but aren't examined much leading us to waste our time in focussing on them.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well, mbbs is very hard and long term process. You will be bored in 1st year because you cant get real clinical cases. But in Final year, 3rd Prof Part 2, you will get huge pressure. Because there are total 11 subjects, you should study in final year. It is a great burden for all. I'm not satisfied with Nmc curriculum. They are not thinking about students. They are implement their rules in chilled ac room. But they don't know the real scenarios.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is quite planned and great and has a lot of advantages in having a clinical and learning diagnostic approach to various diseases. One area where the curriculum can improve is by having more practical classes rather than theoretical classes. The exams are quite difficult but are quite planned to make you understand the clinician and the passing percentage is 50 percent.
