Remarks

College is not that bad. It should make some improvements in the overall functioning. Make it more liberal that the students would feel they are free.We don't need a future of programmed brains. we need creative ones

Course Curriculum Overview

4

management seats are there if you have a thick purse.Exams are conducted by Kerala University themselves.even though the venue is the college full control over the exams are by the university.they have the right to debar a student or not if he is found ineligible.elegibility is subject to attendence (75%)

Placement Experience

2

There are only a few placements and campus selections over here.there is a new Tourism course started here.I think that may atract some campus recruitment teams to this college and it would be beneficial.

College Events

3

There is active participation from this college in University arts and sports championships.Morover Christmas ,Onam and such celebrations are done here with all departments United. Kudoos for that, sports and arts days conducted within the college are done in groups including all departments in each group.

Fees and Financial Aid

Upto my knowledge there is no such loan facility provided. Neither there is any scholarships allotted to the students. In the meantime govt scholarships are achieved by some of the students. Students from cast like Sc St have fee scholarships if they successfully complete the terms. That are not provided by the college I think.

Campus Life

2.5

Good labs are there for the biochemistry, physics and computer departments,There library also in quite rich in books. The college (I don't know whether the Management or the faculty) however promote sports activities upto an extend. There is an active participation in the NSS unit here

Admission

I got admission from merit list.having 80 % in 12th ,I didn't struggled much to get an admission here.More over management seats are there if you have a thick purse.for merit admission I have to give 2-3 courses that I would like to do on a chronogical order by my priority for the courses.Rest is done by Kerala University

Faculty

4

There is a lot to be improved here. They are following a school like curriculum here with cameras all over the campus. No one can question the management. The management goes purely on a business mind. U can't expect any consideration (I m talking on fee) even though you can't afford the fee there.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is suitable for the modern age of teaching, the way of education is well balanced with projects, assignments, presentations and also notes .we have reading assignments where the faculty members ask us to read an entire book and give our review on it.the exams are quiet moderate and in my opinion teachers should use more ai tools as a learning aid which will be more effective for the students

Placement Experience:

From the last semester pass out we a re eligible for the campus recruitment for job or placement. So many companies visit us for the interview or some checking like , hero honda , maruti suzuki etc. the main reason for it was a low amount of budget is that get from this placement maybe 15 thousand let month ect. Only the company can take the students for it so the percentage of the students who getting placement will change in every year. My plan was to get an admission in the central government University for doing master of degree in History. And try the best exam called upsc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are many aspects of the curriculum that infulenced my decision to choose BA English Literature in St. Berchmans College. Their syllabus is far more challenging and interesting than what other colleges and universities offer in Kerala. The examinations and overall assessment of projects and grades are top-tier and is comparatively difficult to obtain. The course steadily provides good quality information and knowledge on English Litearture and readies the student to be more than qualified for further studies in English Literature or any related courses. The areas where they can improve in the course curriculum is through availing more optional courses such as various other language courses/philosophy related courses to be selected. Their teaching environment can also be improved by improving basic infrastructure in the classrooms such as airflow etc. They conduct their exams freequently and on time. The examinations are challenging but necessary for overall improvement in students
