Remarks
The college is great. Its campus has a private beach. Located on the coast, the environment here is great. The teaching faculty is great. The placement is good enough. What else do you need Good and well equipped labs and lot of extra curricular activities.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is great and according to the industry requirements. Your CGPA is based on continuous evaluation. Weightage is given to mid sem, quizzes, practicals, and assignments on a regular basis. One has to perform well throughout the year to get a good CGPA. The evaluation process is great for the development of skills and helps the students in performing well in the interview environment.
Placement Experience
The placement is good enough for P.G students and great for UG students. Big companies like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, and over 250 companies visit the college for placement. Overall I can't say that anyone getting the college should not be worried about placement.
College Events
We have all the events that are commonly celebrated in the college. DJ night, tech fest, cultural fest, sports meet, annual function, etc. There are plenty of events celebrated here. Students get a lot of opportunities for the development of skills in the event. UG students get full out of that while PG students are busy with their curriculum.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structures for UG are expensive but considering high placement this is not an issue. For PG students the fee is high but they get a monthly stipend from MHRD. They almost get their fee back. The stipend for PG students is enough to counter high fees.
Fees and Financial Aid
I have been offered a scholarship from MHRD which is an educational body under the govt of India. The scholarship provided is 12,400 per month and enough for daily expenses. The scholarship is provided to every student who gets admission by gate scorecard.
Campus Life
The labs are great. As the college was established in the 1960s. The college is equipped with all the labs required. Extracurricular activities are a lot for the overall development of the skills of the students.
Alumni/Alumna
As the college is 60 years old, the alumni association and seniors are great. They visit the college very often and are good enough to help. With people working in different big companies, students can get a lot of help.
Admission
I have cleared the gate exam with a good rank. Then we will have to do counseling which is held by CCMT. There are several rounds of counseling and college is allocated on the basis of that. NITK comes among the top NIT and it requires a lot of hard work to get the college.
Faculty
The faculty of the college are highly qualified. Most of the faculties have done their P.HD from IISc. They have very good knowledge and great teaching skills. A bit boring to say but great for doing research under them. They are good enough to develop a very good environment between teacher and student.
