Remarks
Possitive - IEM is better known for it's discipline, education and placement. It has a very good reputation in these fields. Negative - Sadly, IEM has a small campus as compared to other colleges. Infrastructure is also not at that level. However, education is very good which maintains its reputation.
Course Curriculum Overview
Collage is affiliated by MAKAUT(Maulana Azad college). Course curriculum is quite good and they focuses basically on overall development of students. Collage will take 4 internal exams apart from 2 semesters.
Placement Experience
IEM (institute of engineering and management) is best known for it's placement and teaching. This is the one of those colleges which claims around 90% placement of students in companies like TCS, wipro, Intel, Adobe etc. The placement scenerio is more better for CSE, IT and ECE students. The average package is around 3.6 lpa. However, many students get 15 lakhs too. Yes, this college provides internships too basically in 3rd and 4th year. Our college has tie up with many big companies and foreign universities too.
College Events
This college mainly focuses on education and knowledge. Thats why we have many events, paper presentations, poster presentations, ppt presentation in our college where judges comes from all over the world. This year SPECTRUM, INNOVACIA, ELECTROSLIDES was a big success. Our college also organise olympiads of different subjects like math, English and physics. We have coding competition every year too.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is quite feasible as compared to other colleges in delhi, Noida and other states. It's around 5 lakhs for 4 years which is certainly very less than other colleges. But, for this you have to appear wbjee exam and you should get a good rank under 3000 to get CSE, IT branch.
Fees and Financial Aid
Collage will provide you loan facilities by a bank which is situated right in college campus. However, there is no scholarship available as per my knowledge. There may be chances in future but right now, there are no scholarships available.
Campus Life
IEM has got good labs. Basically the department of computer science has best labs. They have central lab which is very big and is certainly air conditioned. Moreover, this year, our hod sir has made a IOT lab too which is too stunning. Other departments like mechanical and electrical also has good labs. T
Alumni/Alumna
Senior are very good. They are very polite and show much respect towards junior too. There is no ragging in our college. Many alumni come to visit our campus time to time and they give various tips to us.
Admission
To get admission in this college, one needs to go through wbjee examination. After merit list comes, there is a cutoff rank for each college and its respective branches. My wbjee rank was 2600.So, i got CSE in this college.
Faculty
College faculties are quite good. Some of them are from IIT and Jadhavpur university too. They try their best to help students by deeply analyzing the course. From 2nd year onwards, students have to study for their main branch subjects only. So you can find most qualified and intelligent teachers from 2nd year. Teachers are very helpful too and that's why they are connected with students by whatsapp too.
