Average student review

The college isn't the worst but it's definitely not a good one either. The administration that worked here did some shady work in the last couple of years and some of them are fired. They don't really care much about the students. But still, I'd suggest someone to join the college because it's not too bad.

The course curriculum is changed this year and it's definitely better than previous year. But the way things are handled here isn't much appreciable. It's because the teachers are more interested in completing the syllabus rather than helping the students. And the exams are just some questions from the material they provide. It's a complete waste of time in my opinion.

Placements are comparitvely better in CSE than other departments. Average package for a student in my department was around 6 LPA last year and it isn't a big thing. We do have some internships available but I don't think they're really good.

ABHINANDAN- It's like a Freshers party. Only the first years are included in this. It's supposed to be so much fun. But honestly, it's normal. It doesn't even match a school's annual day functions. SPARSH- It's an yearly event and a techno-cultural fest. This is a little better than Abhinandan. Technical events take place during the day and cultural events during the night. And there's also something called celebrity night in which a celebrity comes to the college. We used to have EDM night which was the best part but we don't have it anymore because the Dean doesn't like it.

It's a government institute. Sp they fee structure is totally fine. Even the middle class families could afford it. It's going to cost around 65000 every year. Also, we need to pay fee for hostel and mess facilities which is really cheap compared to the prices around this place.

We get some good scholarships here. The most important one is the fee reimbursement based on the economic conditions. If the fee is below 1 lakh, we get a full fee reimbursement for tution fee. Also, there are some other scholarships like FFE. It's a good one. People who are economically backward can apply for this and there is a high chance of getting the scholarship.

We have some extra curricular activities but it's not given enough importance. People care about it only during the competitions. We have a play ground but it's not in a way so that we can play. We also a have a good Gym facility. Apart from this, our labs are fine. We get all the required equipment and lab assistants are always available around us.

The hostel facilities are fine. They're not the best but we can definitely adjust. We have only one hostel for girls-MTB and there are many hostels for boys. For first years, it's Gajjar Bhavan, and it's Bhabha Bhavan , Swami bhavan for consecutive years. We also have hostel facilities for PhD students.

We do have a good alumni network here. Senior students who are passed out with flying colours come back and share their experiences. Also, there's something called Chinthan Prathishthan. It helps us with the alumni network.

I had to attempt JEE MAINS 2018 and score high to get into this college. We also have JEE advanced but it's only for the IITs and not NITs. After the results are announced, we are supposed to opt our choices for the colleges and based on our rank, we get an admission in this college.

Our faculty is definitely not a good one. They're not some experienced teachers. Most of them are too young and they clearly don't know how to teach. They just come class with a notes and make sure that they write everything on the board.
