My Old New University

Positive thing about college is environment that greenary and involvement of students in many extra curricular activities other than studies like sports, adventures like we have some hills beside our university and students here usually go for trecking on them.the negative thing or demerits I can say are the lab infrastructure and staff and fee structure.

Here our course is compiled and made by our very own lectures and professors like they'll do it accordingly what exactly the student want in that subject and every student have to do a project in that course and like wise two mid exams and one comprehensive semester exam.

Coming to placements here they focus mainly on the internships because in our curriculum one complete semester like final semester we have to do an internship and that is evaluated accordingly so placement committee mainly focus on internship and then final placements.but for ECE please don't expect good/many companies here.you can get some good companies for CS stream.

Right from the beginning of the first year we will have a 15 days session to explore the college environment and everything and we will have some dance events like audacity and then some debating events following college Fest like cultural fest and technical fest which actually started with our batch or I can say which was started by our batch and some sports fest and like every weekend some theatre vents etc.,

They will give scholarship based on our 10+2 performance but without scholarship it's not feasible while im in my first year the fee structure is like 4 l.pa including hostel and mess and we got 75% scholarship so we have to pay 1.5 lpa but now for our juniors there's a hike in fee like they have to pay 2 lpa even they got 100% scholarship like that 2lac is for hostel and mess.comparing our college infrastructure and fee structure it's not feasible.

As I said before there's a scholarship availability based on our performance in 10+2 like if we got above 80% they will get 75-100% and vice versa.the students who got scholarship will get a concession in tution fee and hostel,mess fee is same for every one.

Labs for computer science and biotech are damn good compared to Electronics like for electronics they don't have that much infrastructure especially for Communication/telecommunication other than that we have decent labs.we have basketball courts a cricket ground and many batminton courts around hostels and volleyball courts.

Hostel infrastructure and facilities are damn good like they are always clean.one good thing about our college is that they used to keep our campus clean and green. coming to hostel we don't have AC here they are replaced by EAT(Earth Air Tunnel) where they took air from outside and send it via pipes underground so that air becomes cool.we don't get any security issues in hostel.

Of course not here in every college you will get a good stuff and great help from the alumni and senior students. Because they know how and what problems their juniors gonna face in the college and after college life.

Admission process is very simple like you have a give a small test which is not necessary and then you have give an interview with any of the staff working in the college and thats it you got the admission.

As a ECE student our Faculty are very good and they have a good knowledge on the subject they have been very supportive in every aspect of college period and they gave us suggestions every time while we done any mistake in it.
