Remarks

Sri Venkateswara is the best college DU has toh offer in the south campus. Good transportation and it’s almost next to the metro station so no trouble there. Good faculty, only one issue was that it’s opposite to Satya Niketan with is always crowded.

I choose to pursue B.com(honors). Sri Venkateswara is one of the best college in the south campus of Delhi university of commerce and arts courses. Exam structure imhere is semester based. There are total of 6 semesters, 2 semesters an year.

Placement Experience

There were no internships provided by the college though there were placements offered. Our college had this placement cell that used to get us job offers for the final year students and internships for the freshers and second year students

College Events

Sri Venkateswara’s fest is among the best fests that are organised by various colleges in the Delhi University Other than the main college fest. Our college used to celebrate other departmental fest.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I would say that not just Sri Venkateswara but all the other colleges of DU offers very low and feasible fees. The fees structure for my course was around 10000 rupees an year and I found that quite low as compared to other universities

Fees and Financial Aid

I am not aware if the college provided with any loan facility but yeah, there were lots of scholarships for economically weak students. Also. our college provided students with laptops those who couldn’t afford them

Campus Life

Our college has amazing ICT labs for the students. free WiFi throughout the campus and also we have a good basketball team, cricket team and a football team. Extra attendance is awarded to the student to encourage them to be active in extra curricular activities.

Alumni/Alumna

I had many senior friends in the college and they were quite helpful to me. They help me get accustomed to the new college premises and the dynamic environment. And also help me through my courses with their guidance regarding syllabus and stuff.

Admission

Admissions are based on the basis of cut off list released by the college on the official website of DU and then individuals have to go and get admission if they fulfil the percentage requirements. Admission process was quite easy and took me about 2-3 hours to get done with.

Faculty

Venky has good faculty for commerce. And not just commerce. Sri Venkateswara has good faculty in almost all the department and courses it offers. Professor are good and very heplful. College is well equipped with ICT labs and wifi facility.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Underrated College- An honest opinion

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

All about SRCC life, exposure, placements, faculty and my experience

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...

My view regarding my college

Remarks:

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.
