Course Curriculum

8

  • Difficulty initially was high as it was very different from the country i come from but the process was so smooth and teachers were so helpful that it was easy pretty much mix of both, especially dissertation project and proposals
  • Most positive would be the depth of course and negativity would be less practical knowledge
  • The classes can vary week to week; they can be less than an hour or maybe a full day like 9-6
  • 100-120 is the class strength
  • 8 Indian students were there.

Admission Experience

  • I applied for 5 colleges:
    • Loughborough University (confirmed)
    • Bath uni (confirmed but not in the coarse i wanted)
    • Briston uni (rejected my application)
    • Lancaster uni (confirmed)
    • Queen mary (confirmed)
  • Major time taken was 1-2 weeks, and some unis were not able to provide me with the course – I think reason would be bachelors marks and less social activities in my country
  • Major universities didn’t required any application fees, but unis which were prestigious have a very significant marking system every uni looks for different type of diversity, so did mine all the uni which accepts or rejects depends on student profile and statement of purpose the better the high chances and the better level of references and a better mark sheet with good overall score gives you higher and better chance to enter any uni, as the competition is very high a lot of things are considered; some of them which might have rejected mine would be my cgpa and less social work in my country
  • Size, reputation, rankings, university students, proximity to major colleges, safety in the city, fees and scholarships.
  • Application and documents, like passport, marksheet letters, and references, then post cas fees submissions and accommodation form
  • No SAT, GMAT, IR, IELTS were required for my course
  • It was pretty easy and standard so everything went smoothly. I just expected some extra scholarships
  • September (major student admissions so major crowd and easy settlement and major jobs are listed at that time)
  • 3-4 months like the initial statement of purpose and document collection and then getting accepted and then cas before applying for visa and then visa application, which took 1-2 months and then finally takeoff. The whole procedure take over 2-4 weeks.

Faculty

10

  • 1:12 is the average ratio. the teachers are very out there and supportive, so it's very good; it never felt as a drawback
  • Very much theory but they try to do some practical, some interesting new things sometimes yess sometimes no for a job a course is not enough but a lot of more things you have to learn throughout the year
  • No, it's not that common but sometimes it might be true; it depends how good you bond with teachers
  • I would say killian , and mary very helpful always out there and very interesting classes

Campus Life

10

  • Two campuses: one is on campus and one is like 15 mins away n foot.
  • Everything is available: restaurants, computer labs, library, gym with all sport options, barbecue areas
  • Every other event is celebrated in university according to different regions and people, , people can organise there own as well , freshers week is very famous
  • There are a lot of societies, and you get taster sessions for the same so you get to know more about it. It's very fun and every other interest and sport is available on campus starting from.
  • Harry potter to motorsports and dance like salsa bachata

Part Time Jobs

  • Not sure about this particular field
  • 12-15 the basic
  • Difference apprenticeship, ambassadors, some cafe jobs, chefs and waitresses – the usual hourly wages would be 12-14 which is pretty decent and easy to live upon
  • 20 hours of rest depends on the contract you have; you can't go more than 20 hours either way and on holidays you can go up to 40 hours, like when there is a semester break but you will have to ask your uni for the same.
  • A little difficult but once get it, it's smooth
  • 12 to 14 or more – it's medium for students to get a job; try indeed or some similar website and maintaining it is a big deal because if the course is intensive, it is pretty difficult indeed, and then getting it with a share code and required documents and good communication skills and some websites might also help, like McDonald's. It's a time-consuming process but will have to trust it.

Placement

10

  • 20% only got placed, but the problem is the current uk market not the uni's fault.
  • 30000 pounds to 45000 is the avg salary.
  • Indeed or different websites for the particular jobs; sometimes the company websites help and LinkedIn connections as well.
  • Networking and internships are the best way to go; if you have your way in once, even with small step, you might find a good job.

Accommodation

Off Campus
10

  • On-campus accommodation, but online websites can help for off-campus accommodation
  • In UK the major concept is off-week price so the rent in uni for an en suite is 190 and for sharing its 135 off campus idk but you have option of studio and many more
  • Live on campus; it's very safe, very connecting and a great community, 5 minutes walk to campus.

Exams

  • IELTS is not required if you have a medium of instruction document from your university or else ielts exam is required in order to get admission
  • Statement of purpose, cv, letter of recommendation, marksheets, college, 10-12 , transcript, application sheet, passport, some application for scholarships
  • No, an interview was not part of my application, but some colleges do.

Fees

  • My fees were 31500 pounds for tuition. I got a scholarship of 5000 pounds, so fees were 26500 after that. Accommodation was 10000 pounds (approx. 8500-10000 depedns on the type of accommodation and whether it was on campus or off campus.
  • Yearly, Apart from rent as it goes in quarters my expenses were around 250-300 it can go as low as 150 or as high as you want depending on the students; into alike there are more expenses because you are setting a room so blanket pillows wardrobe stuff a kot of things are supposed to be taken care off

Scholarship

  • Yeah, I did and there are some more which i was not aware of initially. Mine was general but there are some like fulgoni and paul simmons
  • 5000 pounds
  • Yes, scholarships are only like 5000 or 13300
  • Many of them do, depending on the marks you received and some more demands different type of criteria like activity and marks from past or some type of job experience
