- Well organised course structure
- Labs and development kitchen facilities (a huge Food Industry centre)
- Amazing career services for CV and Cover letter help
Dislikes
- Covid batch - online classes in the same fee
- No direct placement opportunities at that time - placement needs to be secured by ourselves.
- Too many students in masters course - should have been limited to 30 or less. It was 60 in my course in that year.
Campus Life
- Unfortunately, I cannot comment on this much, as a lot of things were closed due to Covid. However, I was given the opportunity to become the course representative of my course, which was really nice. Students also have the chance to enroll in different sports clubs or other literary clubspart-time roles are also available.
- There will be a nice freshers and Cardiff Met has got a lot of international student communities based on countries and there is a huge Indian community that celebrates festivals as well.
Accommodation
- University shared a list of available properties for accommodation. I went for a private one because it was cheaper. Students usually house share. OpenRent, SpareRoom, and rightmove are some websites used in the UK. My rent at that time was £300, including all bills. But the cost of living has gone up now. One of the challenges in the UK when renting with a private landlord is the need for a UK guarantor. Luckily I didn’t have to get one, but if you have a relative already living here, they can be your guarantor.
- I suggest opting for private accommodation if you can, as it saves quite a lot of money. If you prefer having a student live experience more important than saving some money, opt for a student hall.
- My accommodation was a 15-minute walk to Cardiff Met university. But students living on campus were a 5-minute walk away.

Campus Life
Three campuses and there was most of the sports area for all the sports, and there were at least 20 events done in college by an in-house corporation ELX, and sports and annual days are common in all the colleges.
There were many companies in Cardiff and some of the major corporations were there which was one of the reasons I went there this helped me understand that it is very important for you to settle in the same city and have a job and even companies prioritise students from the same city as it saves their cost for hiring you.
Likes
- I like there are multi-national people visiting the university.
- I like the way faculty interact with students.
- I like the environment and different cultures of the university.
Dislikes
- The only thing I don't like is academic subjects need to be added to the AI subject and there are no written exams only assignments.
Campus Life
Clubs were too good in Wales, when I went to university in 2020 there was COVID-19 so all my student life went with work and learning from home but overall we visited were few times but campus life is good. Coming to extracurricular activities that was the period where we were in only homes.
Accommodation
I used to live in Cardiff city centre accommodation. There are students from various universities. who are interested in living in university accommodation for £500 to £700 per month. Which includes wifi, common kitchen, attached bathrooms and a bedroom.
Accommodation
I did not live in the university accommodation. I lived in shared accommodation with 8 other students from the same university.
The city was affordable and the university fees for my course were comparatively lesser than other universities.
