- Overall University is good but there are some cons. First of all its based in Middlesbrough which has increased crime rates.
- Some type of courses are not up to date.
- Reduced opportunity for professional work role due to massive incoming of students from abroad

- The course I studied is more practical and giving best knowledge about what the current industry is looking for. There were 3 classes scheduled in a day. Usually, university classes were 3-4 days, including a practical class.
- The class used to start around 8:30 am. There were many indian students, around 65 percent of the whole class. We had two batches of 60 students in each.
Fees
- I was a 2020 student of Master's in Mechanical Engineering. I have done 2 years course, which includes advanced practice. It cost me around 12000 as university fees. The rent here in Middlesbrough is cheap as comapre to other cities. 280-350 is the average rent per person.
- The transportation facility is really good. There are some options available to pay fees in installments.

- It's actually in a student city so it's very easy to connect and make friends. The university is inclusive of all religions like we played holi there in the university itself.
- Even in the college, it's very inclusive of you if you are actually trying to connect and make friends, there are different clubs that are actually dedicated to make students feel at home and help them communicate.
- There are a lot of clubs and societies where you can participate and pursue your interests, so the university tries to make a balance between your education and social life.
Dislikes
- Not too many native english students, which would have been cool if I could befriend some of them.
- Small city, not to do much if you are not social enough.
- Not enough jobs in the same city, the university has some but still you are required to commute to new castle or other cities for jobs

- The difficulty is not very great; it is moderate, and it was a mix of both practical and theoretical, with more focus on practical knowledge rather than just theoretical knowledge.
- The batch sizes are not very big, which makes discussions possible and classes interactive, and while it is positive, there is a negative outcome for this as well, as this makes the classes boring and very shallow, even if a few students don't show up for the classes.
- 2-3 classes every day are scheduled.
- There are a lot of Indian students in the university, and you will definitely make indian friends there, but to my surprise, there were none in my batch.
Fees
- The fees are based on your course. As I was an exchange student, I didn't have any tuition fees for Teesside, but for regular students, the fees were around 15-16k pounds, and it was yearly.
- I lived in a rented room near the university, it cost 440 pounds monthly, and the food cost around 200 pounds, but it depends on your diet, and I actually travelled a lot and went out to eat a lot, so on a monthly basis it cost me 800-1000 pounds.

- I love the library because it was 24/7, variety of books, comfortable.
- My Digital forensic lab, I had accessed to all the tools and software that could required in my study.
- Campus, it good to have variety of events, I joined many from student union events.
Dislikes
- Study experience, was too complicated for me to adapt new education system, I study extra long time to learn.
- Isolation, in classroom I felt isolated, local student don't interact much and I was introvert as well, so it was very hard to cope with that hideous feeling.
- Student support, once I failed the subject and wasn't give another chance, so I had to come to my home country, apply for new visa, went back for study, I was in so much depression, wasted so much time and money, even my study was interrupted.

- I would argue that my course was difficult for non-tech students who have different educational backgrounds, as it specialised in digital forensics and cyber investigation. I have done my bachelor's in forensic science. but I had keen knowledge in this field so it was not so difficult for me. my course mostly relied on the practical and in-lab.
- I had two modules which were theory only. the positive part of the course was that I had access to all the software and material for the study but the negative part was that the pacing of the course was a little fast for me. The professor used to cover a lot in one class. my lab class used to last 2 or sometimes 3 hours.
- My course had 3 to 4 classes per week. The timing for the classes was usually between 11 am and 4 pm, except for the exception that some of them were late evening or early morning but those were theory classes. my course was new and very specific so there were only 15 to 20 students in the class. and only, I think, 4 to 5 students were Indian. 1 or 2 Indian students switch the course because of the difficulty.
Fees
- During my admission, the total course fee was £14,000. I was supposed to pay half upfront (£7,000), but after getting a £1,500 scholarship and an additional £500 discount for paying the rest in full, I paid £5,000 in my first year. Fees could be paid yearly or broken into monthly instalments. I chose private housing with a friend, which was far cheaper than the university accommodation.
- My monthly expenses were lower due to shared rent, and I managed transport and living costs within a reasonable budget. The total fee during my addition was 14000 pounds; I meant to pay half, which is 7000 but I got a 1500 scholarship and 500 off if I pay the whole remaining amount.
- So I paid 5000 in the first year. there is an option to break it down to monthly if the student prefers. I took the private renting option to share with my friend, which was way cheaper than the accommodation offered by the university. scholarship eligibility was to have good goodmarks in 10th standard in English, I think. I don't know any other scholarships provided by the university. there is a price hike in courses as well since my admission.

- Whenever there is an expo it is general ones and I never got any emails or any other form of communication regarding that

- It was a mix of theoretical and practical. There were classroom sessions and lab sessions.
- There were no negative aspects regarding the quality of teaching they provide.
- It depends on the course. For me it was 1 to 2 and there were some days where I had 3 classes. For some courses there will be only a 2-day class. For me, I had a 4-day class
- There were 15 to 30 students, depending on the class
- More than half of the students in my classroom were Indians.

- £15000 and there was a £2000 scholarship discount and hence the overall fee was £13000 Yearly (You have the option to pay as an instalment)
- Considering the city is cheap, the estimated monthly expense, including rent, would be £350. It could go up or down based on the rent. If you wish to look for a shared house, the rent is comparatively cheap.

- The course was quite easy, and it included the theory as well as the practical lab. There were no theory exams conducted; just an assignment was given that we were supposed to complete by the end of the semester. Usually, there were 3 modules each semester. One theory class per week for every module and one practical lab every week for each module. there were around 50% Indian students.
Fees
- it was 15000 GBP and there was the option of instalments, like an initial 5,000 deposit and then 3,333 + 3,333 + 3,334 every month. The fees were charged annually; however, we were asked to pay it in the span of 4 months only.
- Monthly expenses included rent bills (100 GBP), groceries (100 GBP) and any other expense of around 100 GBP, making total of 500-600 GBP

- A masters degree program will have both theory and practical. Moderate and high difficulty level varying on subjects
- Positive aspects are we are diving deeper to gain the core knowledge of the subject and analyse how it actually works with real time and there

- You get 3different instalments from college side to pay yearly
- Hostel/rental charges u have to show full 10months amount to UKVI to prove your visa.

- There are several reasons why the university is a good choice for someone. I will mention and summarize my overall experience with the university, explaining why I liked it. You may have your reasons for choosing this university, but you will likely agree with at least some of the points mentioned below before making a decision on which university to attend for your master's or higher education.
- Extremely supportive staff, very friendly master thesis supervisors and very well-organised library.
- The fee is affordable. Compared to other UK universities, I found through my research that the fees were significantly more affordable. My other peers who studied in the UK paid almost double the amount in tuition fees that I paid. My tuition fee was around £5,500 in my first year and £7,000 for the following year. I spent around £12,500 on tuition fees, which seems to be significantly cheaper than those of US universities and most British universities.
Dislikes
- Too much racism and politics against people of colour, no proper job guidance, and most of the UK firms will tell you straight no to a position if you do not have a permanent residency or a British Passport. You cannot land a good job on a visa. Needless to say, the chances of them sponsoring your visa are next to impossible.
- Lower QS ranking compared to other universities: Let me be very honest with you in this regard; if you have plans to move into further education after your masters, like I myself did by enrolling in a PhD program, then sometimes during admissions, the QS university ranking does matter while you apply to other universities.
- Limited city life exposure: As I mentioned earlier, if you are a party and booze person, you may miss out on something very significant. Middlesbrough is a village, and it may offer you nature, but not posh nightlife, bars, and late-night party DJs.

- Well-designed and practical based, with a lot of focus on grad research. Supervisors are very warm hearted people and they help you in case of any need.
- The difficulty level was easy to moderate. It wasn't too hard for those who regularly attended the lectures and made time for their self-study. Positive aspect: The world is moving towards AI-based solutions, whether it's ChatGPT, Grok, or Copilot. Everywhere, in everything, we are heading towards AI. So I was sure that I was doing a good course.
- Typically, as master's level students, we had classes three times a week, with the rest of the time allocated for self-study purposes.
- Regarding Indian students, I am not sure about the exact numbers, but a significant number of students were from India.
Fees
- The tuition fee was charged yearly.
£7000 per year (without scholarship) - The monthly expenses while I studied were around £800 each month, which includes rent of approximately £330 for a single shared room, £250 for monthly groceries and food, and the remainder for shopping, eating out, and transportation.
- But it also depends heavily on your spending habits and your own personal finance management.

The course curriculum is great. It challenges you at every step along the way and pushes you to learn and give your best. The course covers all the stages from basic exercises to advance level gradually. If you are willing to learn you have all the resources at your disposal. The library and Student Union Building are some of the best places to work in your leisure time. If you get tired or have small break between classes you can access snooze room for a quick power nap as well.
I am a master’s student pursuing animation with advanced practice at Teesside University, England. I choose this university because it was affordable and it was one of the few universities providing 2 years degree in 3D animation. Also the town is one of the most cheapest places in England.
