Financial assistance ishan udhoy scholarship this scholarship literally helps those who belong to poor families and helps them in fulfilling their needs.
I like the beautiful campus, playgrounds, gymnasium and also the education system of the university is also good.
Teachers are good and friendly. they help you regarding your problem

Dislikes

Our hostel food is very bad quality. Many times due to the food we suffer from constipation and other unhealthy conditions.
Some of the department also quite bad and some of university area also looking bad.
The hostel mess food is not good and it is unhealthy also

As a local boy my first choice after Higher secondary to read in Jagannath Barooah College. This is one of the best colleges of Assam. Because of I pursued my higher secondary in Jagannath Barooah College, I able to got seats in the same college in the quota and now I am a JBian.

I was in the science stream during my HS. But I realised that I would do good in Humanities, and shall do my graduation in English. I got to know from my cousin (ex JB student) that the Department of English in JB is good. So, I gave the entrance exam (EHSET 2019 or English Honours Selection Test 2019) and got selected.

Remarks:

The location. It has an epic scenery. U never get bored even if ur outside of the college. There is a lake just on its outskirts which are beleived to be made by the mighty Ahoms who ruled Assam for 600 years. Then there is the Joydol(a temple dated back to the Ahom dynasty).These sceneries tempted me to take admission in this particular college.

During the first year, the students of all branches will have a common classroom for all subjects. It is from the 3rd semester that you will be well acquainted with respective branches. The teachers are very dedicated and cooperative and the classes are held regularly.

Alongside academics, you would be left with enough time to excel through various extra-curricular activities. The annual tech fest “Auxesis” is held every odd semester and the University Week is held every even semester. The workload becomes exhausting during these semesters.

The campus is serene and splendid. The greenery everywhere brings out the best of the serene beauty and creates an enthusiastic environment for studying. Overall, your college time here would be terrific.

Everyone has their own individual perspective and opinions thus; your experience might be very much different and better too.
