Ques. Are reservations available for reserved categories at AKU?
Ans. Yes, AKU is bound by the Government of Bihar reservation policies. SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and women candidates are reserved and they receive benefits of quota during admissions. The percentage of the reservation can be determined, depending on the category and might be different in particular courses. To benefit on the reservations, it is required that the candidates present valid and recent category certificates.
Ques. Does AKU allow lateral entry admissions?
Ans. There are lateral credit programs of technical and paramedical courses such as B.Tech (on diploma graduates) or B.Pharm (on D.Pharm graduates) which are offered by some of the affiliated institutions of AKU. But this depends on the intake of seats and college restrictions. The lateral entry admissions are not centrally handled in AKU and students must check the notifications inside the respective colleges.
