Fees and Financial Aid:

the fees structure at nit patna is quite reasonable compared to private college. for cse areound 1.4 to 1.5 lakh per year including tution and other academic charges like lab, registration and exam fees. hostel fees is 24 thousand per year and mess is 40 thousand per year. for sc and st students there is full tution fee wavier, only hostel and other minimal charges they have to pay. There are scholarships like NSP and state scholarships too.

You have to pay each semester in the start . I have to pay above one lakhs which include hostel fee and tution fee. It is compulsory to take mess if you opt for hostel. Overall hostel life is good. Good

Honest student review of NIT Patna.

I am a general category student, and I paid appx. 1.2 or 1.25 lakh this year, which includes all facilities like mess, hostel, registration and academics. This is low because my father's income is less than 5 LPA, so I got a fee waiver. The tuition fees is 62500 per sem, but I have to pay only one third of it. SC and ST have to pay 0rs. as tuition fees, and all the other fees like caution fees(10000), registration fees(1500), admission fees(4000), development fees(30000), lab fees per sem are compulsory to pay to everyone. only what you will get is in tuition fees. In the NSP Scholarship, which I know the most, you can get up to 84000 per year if you are in the SC, ST or OBC category or if your family income is less than 5 LPA

i am from general category and my yearly fee is 70000 . this includes tuition fee and other compulsory charges. the total fee for the complete course comes to around 2.8 lakhs for 4 year. the fee has remained the same during my course duration and has not changed

Students activity fees = 1000 rs. Students welfare fees = 1000 rs. Medical and insurance fees = 800 rs. Examination fees = 2000 rs. Identity card fees = 200 rs. IT infrastructure fees = 750 rs. Training and placement fees = 2000 rs. Hostel fees = 12000 rs. mess advance = 20000 rs. Hostel security money = 6000 rs. Hostel maintenance fees = 2000 rs. This is 1 semester fees. After 1 semester I paid 41250 rs for even semester and 42050 rs for odd semester. I belong to st category.

Year wise fo people, including me , whos family income is less than 1 lakh general category, have to pay 83000 aprrox including hotels and all other fees . Only for 1st time admission in 1st semester we have to pay 94250. For students, family income greater than 5 lakh have to pay tution fee along with fee which I pay as less than 1 lakh general catagory, tution fee is 62000 per semester means aprrox 1.2 lakh per year . For students, family income in the range of 1 to 5 lakh have 2/3 remmision in tution fee only other fees are same . For students belonging to reserved catagory they don't have to pay tution fee others are same . Details fee structure is given in the website of nit patna

I belong to general-ews category in the income range of (1lakh to 5 lakh) so I get 1/3rd remission from the total fees(including tution fee and hostel fee) . I have to pay 62,083 and 62,833 respectively in even and odd semesters of one year. Hostel fees is 40000 including mess charges per semester. Students from OBC-NCL category in the income range above b/w 1 to 5 lakh have to pay 62,833 and 62,083 in the odd and even semester. If the annual income ranges below 1 lakh the tution fee is free the got 100% scholarship. And have to pay only the hostel fee that is 40000 per semester. SC/ST students get 100% scholarship on tution fee they only have to pay 40000 per semester for hostel fee. General students income above 5 lakh have to pay 1,04,550 per semester. These scholarships are given by government based on category
