IGKV Faculties : Students' Opinion

AI-Generated Summary based on 52 Reviews

The faculty at the college are highly qualified, experienced, and dedicated, with a strong command over their respective fields, particularly in agricultural science and research. They emphasize practical-based learning and industry readiness, providing comprehensive study materials and support outside class hours. The faculty-to-student ratio varies, with some classes having a low ratio of 1:60, which may affect individualized attention. Faculty members are approachable and supportive, encouraging students in their academic pursuits and life lessons.

The curriculum is relevant, although there are calls for updates to include more laboratory and applied knowledge. The exam structure consists of midterms, practicals, and final theory exams, with a passing requirement of over 60%. Faculty members are well-regarded, fostering strong relationships with students and assisting with both undergraduate and PhD guidance. Guest lecturers complement regular faculty, focusing on specialized subjects. Overall, the teaching staff are dedicated to student success and maintain a supportive educational environment.

Faculty:

The faculty to student ratio of the college was upto standard. The classes were also regular with both practical and theoritical knowledge. The faculties are experts in their own field so you need not to worry about if they are teaching you right or wrong. Also, they are very helpful if you want to pursue further education in the college itself.

Faculty:

There are 2 teachers per subject to teach you different courses in the agriculture syllabus. The faculty I liked was Dr. Praveen kumar Verma sir from agriculture economics department and Dr.K.K. Pandey from agriculture statistics department. They were very good in their work and sincere towards students. I did not like Dr. R.D. Tiwari sir and Dr. Tomar sir they were a bit rude and their behaviour was not good with students. There are exams at the end (semester exams) and at the middle of every semester (mid terms). Mostly students cleared the exams and those who did not clear have the option to fill a form for revaluation of their failed courses. The course curriculum is very relevant but they should include more courses for laboratory knowledge and applied knowledge of agriculture.

Faculty:

In my batch there are total of 32 students in which 5 students are from All India seat 1 is from in-service seat. And my department has more than 15 teaching staff which are also responsible for teaching of PhD and UG students but the are later allotted as the course guide to a group of 4-5 students. And the relationship of faculty to student is good enough that we can directly communicate with them in the college time of the day Faculties i like from my college are Dr. Nitish Tiwari because the teaching technique of them is good and understandable. And Dr. Brij Bihari Pandey from plant physiology also has a lot of knowledge about his subject. He is a good teacher and teaches the students very interestingly I don't have any faculties which I didn't like.. everyone does their work really good in my department of agronomy. There are total of 9 subjects in this semester of agronomy as I'm in 1st semester. There are total of 9 subjects of which 4 are major subjects, 2 are minor subject, 1 is major subject and 2 are non credit subjects. There can be some difficulties in passing these subjects in like 2-3 subjects because the passing percentage is above 60% for each subject.. it means we need to score above 60 marks in each theory exam. The course curriculum is relevant but i feels that some of the syllabus is not of any importance and i feels like that are not going to be used in upcoming times and we need to change it and update it

course provided by univercity id B.sc. agriculture Hons. this is 4 year course where course structure is divided based on semester system.in last year of college RAWE programme is organized by univercity ,this move built a relation between farmer and student.if we talk about exam pattern so theory and practicle exam conducted by college.and marking system is not pretty complex but tough to score excellent marks in exam especially core subject like agronomy, soil science and horticulture.

Some faculty members are too supportive on the other hand some are not. The faculty to students ratio is good. There are enough professor for student to teach . In a semester we need to give following exams- 1.Mid term exam for 10 marks it may be objective or subjective depending on faculty 2.End sem exam it comprises of practical and final theory exam -Practical exam (30 marks) 10-15 mark paper rest marks are for viva assignment practical record attendance -final theory exam (60 marks) Section A 5 MCQ (2.5marks) 5 match the column(2.5marks) 5 true false (2.5marks) 5 fill up(2.5 marks) Section B 12 question out of which you need to do 10 (10 marks) Section C 12 question out of which you need to do 10 (20 marks) Section D 7 question out of which you need to do 5 (20 marks)
