Review For DR. S. & S.S. GHANDHY GOVERNMENT ENGINEERING COLLEGE.

Likes

The knowledge of professors, all of them have a minimum degree of Masters in their respective subjects and those with Masters are all pursuing Phd in the subjects, nearly 80% of the professors already have a phd so its a very good choice.
The person to person attention paid by professors is just out of the world! Yes they will point you out if you aren't paying attention or if you are sleeping.
Efforts of the professors for completing the syllabus on time, yes they'll take extra lectures and they will assure that you attend it.

Dislikes

The infrastructure just from outside, it just looks old but also is equipped with good quality things on the other side
Not so good sports ground there is volleyball court, badminton/ tennis court and basketball court but is not upto the mark.

Placement Experience:

This college provides the best placements in Surat for Mechanical Engineering field as there are many many fields in the city considering Hazira side areas where companies like L&T reside which take students from Gandhy college first, then fron other colleges. It provides a hefty sum of 700000 to 800000 per annum average and the campus placement packages go upto 250000 260000 per year which is a very good amount. Talking about the employment in this field, it is drastic in every field comprising of any kind of machineries.

My Experience

Likes

I like the placement of the Vishwakarma government engineering college.
I liked the design of the infrastructure and connectivity of all blocks togethere.
I liked that all the faculty member is well graduated from iit.

Dislikes

i disliked that there is no maintenance of the college.
not proper cleaning of the toilet & washroom.
many of instruments of the lab is no working properly & to many old.

Placement Experience:

in vishwakarma government engineering college placement is very good.the average placement of vgec is 5 LPA . many multinational company is arriving in college for hiring students. student also choose to go for off - campus.ther are many company is visited like byjus ,torent ,infosys ,L&T etc.

I liked most about vishwakarma government engineering college is that it has good and big campus so that there is good social interaction and workers daily clean the whole campus and every department block.
There is many department in college and it has separate block.
Vgec has a good placement during term many good company offers a student for good package

Dislikes

A campus was so big so we walked so much for going one block to another block
At the Some place infrastructure was not built completely
Many instruments not working properly in leb

Placement Experience:

The placement is excellent in college because average package offered by company to students is 5 LPA which is good.there are many multi national company arrives in vishwakarma government engineering college.and faculty helps us to for interview in placement cell.

A review for the college

Likes

I like my college library system is containing so much informative books.
I like my class rooms which almost all containing the projecters.
I like the infrastructure of this college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think i am rate our cariculam to 4/5 because it is good but i am not liking the hardware releted subjects because i have not any intrest in hardware engineering field. The other subjects like maths releted subjects and computer releted subjects like OOP by java is wonderful subject but in my opinion it differs to like the person to person what curriculum they need.

Campus,faculty,technical facility, college 's environment
Placement cell help to how to take placement
Our college provide sports area and faculty support for sports.

Dislikes

Our collage is in rural place so animals are stand up on road.
Honeybee's house is very dangerous in our college.
Non technical facilities teaching is not good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Me choose this course because I like computer and this course is good for girls.good future In this course.many curriculums have started incorporating subjects like AI,ML, cloud computing and cyber security.

A balanced collage experience: Academics , Growth and social life

Likes

The faculty provides very personal attention and support in terms of learning
Different categories of students such as ST, SC and OBC also get scholarships and Also collage provides financial assistance
In collage well equipped labs, resourceful library and good classroom facilities provided

Dislikes

We don't get good placements in our collage
In some cases, faculty cannot explain well

Fees and Financial Aid:

My yearly fee for my collage 45,000/- ,covering tution fees,development fees,lab fees,and other compulsory charges.The total course fee depends on the duration of the program, and there may be periodic revisions, Different categories of students such as SC,ST,OBC may have a variations in fee structures based on government norms.

I liked the campus of the collage because it is so hugs and we can sit around in the shadow if there's any free period
I Think canteen should be there in the collage and that's the thing which should be improved
The big auditorium is also good for seminars and every event of the College AC are there in the auditorium.

Dislikes

The things which I disliked is the mobile signal problems because there is no mobile signals inside the classroom

Placement Experience:

Every Year About 50% Of The Students And Placed From This Collage And The Placement Is Good If U Have Not Decided To Do Something Bigger Than That Because The Placement Is Good But Not That Good Like If We Compare With Private Universities But Ths Placement Is There In The Collage And It Is Good.

Likes

I like the campus of my College because there are so many trees and flowers around the every department's building and so many branches are there you can sit there and read in peace and complete your work.
In my College there is a ladies room which I like because there arel only girls there and there are washroom facilities fir them and there the girls can do their own work
Many clubs are running in my College which are for skill development

Dislikes

My College is very old so there are no washrooms in some departments I don't like this for girls.
In my college the network is not working properly in some department’s building and in some buildings a fan and ac are not working properly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chosen this subject to get a government job and I'm also interested in the construction of buildings that's why I'm choose these course In this course the many practical are . This curriculum is prepare me how to work on site with labours and how to become a leader.

The college is best for activities and education with affordable price but everything have little bit of problems

Likes

The faculties are very intelligent and they know their subjects well and make you understand everything in depth along with the interactive classes
We are provided with good infrastructure facilities like a better projector, black and white both kind of boards , online portal and materials with full access
Admission process is very easy and their is no examination for entrance anybody can take admission and timings of classes are at early morning which enables you to do job simultaneously

Dislikes

I actually hate the parking area everytime it hurts my vehicle a lot that absolutely need improvement
The washroom is very unhygienic and smells a lot at some floors

The exam timings are well suited and feasible also the exam is held after 3-4 months first their is mid semester exams and then end semester exams Curriculum is good but needs little bit of change related to the finance and specialisation subjects

our college infrastructure is very good and student friendly environment
senior student often mentor junior in academic preparation

Dislikes

Placement opportunities could be better.
there is no mess facility for hostel student
there is no near by hospital for Emergency

Placement Experience:

After completing 3rd year students are eligible for campus placement.Average packge of our college is 3.5 lack to 4 lack and Highest Packge of our college is 7 lack.40-60% students are getting placement through campus placement.After getting Degree I am planning to do masters
