Fees and Financial Aid:

1. Means for tution fees it's 1.01 lakhs per year and 66% off if income is in between 1-5 lakhs per year and 100% off if income is less than 1 lakhs per year. 2. Various scholarships are open and student can freely opt for scholarship and I have seen multiple collegues who are opting from 30k to 60k per year worth of cash scholarships 3. Fees for foreign nationals are much more around 3x of ours, visit iit mandi website 4. There is not too many charges with it, there is only tution fees per year along with hostel and mess fees per year and one time of 20k roughly for all kind of security and admission fess in start only.

No Semester wise fee will be paid In our college fee is on base of categories For st and sc students tution fee is zero and for general category and obc catagory tution fee is 100000 and the for the poor students whose parents income less than 5 lakh they paid fee is 2/3 rd of fee Other than that Institute fee is 6200

Academics is strict, there is 80% attendence is compulsory in every subject or course.

Fees and Financial Aid:

I paid institute and medical cover fees which is 12,400 and 1,500 rupees per year respectively. My friend paid 2,12,400 institute fees for 1 year, he belongs to the general category. I paid 10,000 for one time non-refundable charges at the time of admission and 12,000 for one time deposit. The hostel charges and mess charges is 19,200 and 30,720 rupees per year respectively for all btech students. There are different type of scholarship refered by my institute(IIT Mandi) like Reliance foundation scholarship, Engineer India Scholarship (EIL) for sc/st students admitted to the institute, EDCIL Vidyanjali scholarship, kotak kanya scholarship specific for girls and much more. There is different criteria for different scholarship.

Fees and Financial Aid:

IIT Mandi, Like other IITs, Has a well-defined fee structure that covers tuition , hostel, mess and other miscelleaneous expenses. The total fee for a four-year B.Tech program typically ranges from 8 to 10 Lakhs, depending on various Factors. Each semester students need to pay Tuition Fee(100000) , Hostel Fee and Mess fee combined is 28000.Their exist some one time fee which include Admission Fee Development Fee etc. As a govement College SC/ST students has zero tutions fee and for other category their exist income based fee for example students with familiy income between 1 to 5Lack has to pay only 1/3 of tutions fee. Also there are many scholarships avaible some of based on student study performance and some on student familiy income

The academic section is slow and work like normal government office. Most rules for academics are not in favor of students. They require amendments especially in cases of approval after getting internship.

Fees and Financial Aid:

Tution fee per year - 198000 One Time Fees-10000 Other Charges- 6100 If the student is from financial category (1 Lakh- 5 Lakh) then he has to pay only 1/3rd of Tution Fee i.e. 66000 per year. If the student's family income is above 5 Lakh then he has to pay full fees as above. If the student's family income is below 1 Lakh, then he doesn't have to pay tution fees at all. Hostel+ Mess Fees- 50000/yr

Brief Overview over my life at IIT Mandi

Fees and Financial Aid:

I am not eligible for any scholorship so I pay the full fees, that is roughly 1,50,000 per semester. The breakdown is 1,00,00 tuition fees, rest is divided into hostel fees, maintainence fees, mess and other aminities. scholorship is available on the tuition fees only.

Robotics environment is very good , I can say it is better than some tier 2 collges

I think tuition fees is quite high . It should be less as it is goverment institution. Not only this college but all IIT's . My overall tution fees is 960000 for all 4 years and almost 2 lakh hostel fees. But good thing is that College provides scholarship for economically backward students . Campus placement is also good. , student secure a decent placement from there . Also you can secure high paying job if you have good skills in your respected domain.

Admission to IIT Mandi for MTech programs involves the following steps:

Candidates must qualify for the GATE Examination.
After satisfying step one, you should submit an online application through the IIT Mandi admission portal.
Then based on the GATE scores and academic performance, candidates are shortlisted. The general cut-off rank for IIT Mandi for various courses was 350-450 in 2023.
After the above rounds, shortlisted candidates may need to attend an interview or a written test.

What should I choose between IIT Mandi Electrical and IIIt Allahabad IT?

One of my friends is a student at IIIT Allahabad pursuing a dual degree in IT. My older brother is a student at IIT Mandi, where he is studying electrical engineering. Regarding the whole situation, let me be absolutely honest with you.

If you are interested in electrical engineering, you should first apply to IIT Mandi.
Even if you are interested in CSE, you can choose IIT Mandi if you are confident in your ability to score well as branch change rules are less stringent there.
The campus and surrounding scenery are both stunning at IIT Mandi.
Since there are fewer students, there are more opportunities in every sector.
There are better sports facilities, as well as the IIT designation. IIT Mandi is the place to go if you want to be more involved on campus.

The college will assist you in becoming a more professional IT engineer.
In terms of campus life and activities, IIT Mandi is ahead of IIITA, but IIIT has a larger alumni network.
Alumni of the IIIT Allahabad are in high-ranking positions in Silicon Valley.
