Likes

The faculty of this university is good and they provide good education
The infrastructure here is good and not soo bad yet there is room for development.the overall social aspect of college is good and we all engage in various club activities and the college also get timely visits from famous personals
Great,this course helps in finding good teaching jobs, faculty is very cooperative and we'll educated,only one problem is that the semester exams were not held on time which lead to a wastage of our time, otherwise has a great experience

Dislikes

There was worst thing that is female staff most of female was not punctual and every time they were not prepared for class and as always they are boring in class rooms because they were not prepared for class
The negative point is that the university doesn't have a good network of alumnis
Institute is not effective in improving skills of students by providing industrial level of skill development cources or workshops

Negative review by a positive person.

Likes

The batch size was consize with 40 students in my class and friendly environment.
The infrastructure was very excellent and teachers were highly qualified.
The lab is very advanced,and organise sports, events regularly.

Dislikes

The sex ratio of the batch was low in my batch it was 26 boys and 6 girls
Teachers are highly qualified but they don't took the classes regularly.
Hod's recruit contractual teachers they took the class in place of the respective HOD's.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As the world is totaly dependent on machines and I don't want to be behind that is why I opted for this course..In our college there was no methods by which they can prepare us for real world problem... There is a space for large improvement in our college..the frequency of exams per year was 2 with each paper having a timing of 2 hours..

Likes

I like almost everything at my college there is nothing bad thanks
I like the theme of my class room my all teachers
Also the front design of my college and the auditorium and the heritage building I like the most

Dislikes

There was three in front side of the college bht they cut them I don't like that
Also they prefer students to come from the another gate I hate that
And the canteen is also not good and affordable

As per me this course is best and also beneficial for life but the timing of exams are not good some times are are waiting for results and another exam came also they should guide students what is good for them

In my course we were only boys because girls were not allowed there
In my college we got trekking and tour facilities wrt studies .
In my college there were no restrictions on uniform

Dislikes

The distance from my home as my college was far from my home

Regarding this i can say that, our college didn't prepare students for the real world applications . In our college , we prepare for exams twice a year and we were having a gap of six months for each exam.

Description of my college

Likes

Infrastructure of college is very good and support towards sports and other activities
Canteen facility and library is the best .And also better treatment and support for women's

Dislikes

Teaching skill of many teachers are not best . especially women faculty
If we have exams in winter then principal is askin to come in proper uniform,
And worst behaviour of college president and other girls

I'm from medical field so I choose bsc.but bsc is not only course for job but after bsc if you are doing further education then your career is good .I think teaching skill of faculty must be good the student are able to learn .the worst part od6this University us that they are completing 2 semester in one year and students are not able to learn more

I really like the freedom you feel while on campus. Nobody bothers of disturbs you.
Helpful faculty, the teachers and other staff members are mostly friendly and kind
The students are really good. I faced no ragging or bullying from my senior. Infact I was welcome from the very first day.

Dislikes

The infrastructure needs some work, and updates.
Library needs to be updated regularly, it needs massive improvement.
Some sort of favouritism does exist, but not enough to be a huge issue.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is pretty relevant in my opinion. With tha changing political landscape it's necessary that we have capable law men. However the exams are too frequent. The syllabus completion barely touches the mark.

A Review on University of Kashmir

Likes

Staff was very much experienced and qualified
Infrastructure was good and satisfactory
Staff support was approachable and students were able to discuss with them

Dislikes

The Head of the Department was so strict and rude
Some teachers were not approaching and student friendly
Library facilities were not good and upto the mark

Fees and Financial Aid:

I paid 9279 for 1st and 2nd Semester in 2021 pursuing Masters Degree in Sociology. It included library fees, IT fees, NSS fee and other charges as well. There was no such departmental scholarship for students enrolled there.

Education is the best gift you can receive from your college

Likes

The faculty and the availability of resources
The infrastructure is very well maintained with all the modern facilities
Professors were always active and present to deliver lectures

Dislikes

There wasn't much to dislike except the electricity issues sometimes
Unavailability of sports activities in the department
The parks were not maintained properly and nicely

Course Curriculum Overview:

First 2 semesters were taken after a year but the rest of the 4 semesters were taken on time. Exams were held in a very peaceful manner and in a very tight schedule. There was no provision for cheating in exams

Likes

Faculty is very nice and the way they teaches us is outstanding
I like the campus beauty my college campus is very mesmerizing and maintainance is great
I like the fee structure of my college it is very affordable

Dislikes

I don't like timetables of my college the time table they made for classes is not suitable for us
There is not digitalized classes in our college..only few class rooms have this system
No heating system for winters in classrooms as well as in Libra

I am currently doing my BA Hons in political science. It was my aim to pursue my degree in political science since my childhood.. political science has a very good scope and it is also very interesting subject ...we can exercise politics in day to day life also

The lavish Amar singh college (pros & cons)

Likes

The basic facilities like ,library, washrooms etc are very well and amazing
The faculty, deen and other staff are just amazing and very helpful to students in general.They never discriminate anyone
The access to study material and computers are there which helps a student particularly during exams

Dislikes

The hostel facilities are not there for girls which is a negative point about college
The canteen are very small in size which really make choas during lunch breaks
The curriculum is to some how hectic with so many subjects

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is hectic in first year but slowly the subjects decrease by number in second year. In first year students are supposed to choose 7 subjects which seems tough at the beginning bt slowly subjects decrease by number...Exam pattern is 6 month semester based which is enough time for preparation of exams because subjects are 7 but topics are few in numbers which one can easily prepare over the period of 6 months... The subjects are completely chosen by students of their choices which makes teaching learning process amazing...

I liked the campus of our college . Also the space and department wise distinction there.
Liked the environment of studies there. We can have a comprehensive study environment with our batch mates
I like the faculty there. Especially public administration and history

Dislikes

Not enough focusing on extra curricular activities, and student involvement
Time variation in classes we have to wait for a long time in order to attend our classes
Poor administration. Administration is not responsive enough of student matters

I being a student of political science was expecting that we would be having at least one or two debates once in a month but as i have been in the college for over a one year there has been hardly one or two activities which were realted to our course. Also our faculty is not permanent we have to wait a lot in the starting of our semester to attend our classes
