The college is too strict with attendance,if a student’s attendance is below 85 he has to pay a fine of ?5000,?3000 and ?2000 and if the student has a less than 75% attendance then he/she is detained which is very wrong ~ Abhinaba Bhuyan, BA

Christ student life

Likes

The campus is so beautiful. It's a very neat and green campus. Also the students there are very good.
The brands value and the placements which the campus is offering

Dislikes

The faculties does not know many concepts. We have to self learn from the internet a lot.
Very strict securities and the quality of events being hosted is very bad

Placement Experience:

University provides good placement opportunity. We get an average of 5LPA package. Students have bagged offers of more than 10LPA also. Even if you're applying as a fresher to other companies you will get good offers. Almost 70% students get placed.

Likes

Detailed and accurate analysis with comprehension of poems, short stories, novels. New words and new perspectives are welcomed
Department of English, at CHRIST Central Campus is excellent with holistic set of teachers who are likely to stay in touch with you even after your degree. All in all, wonderful mentors.
Adequate practical knowledge is given. British, American, Post colonial, Indian, world literatures and literature theories are dealt with. Most of the content can be relatable and used in daily practice

Dislikes

Placements for English can be considered bad.
There exists a LOT of confusion and chaos among students as some concepts and chapters won’t be dealt with.
Faculty usually go out of the subject matter and bring politics and their personal opinions and try to imbibe into students, intentionally and evitable(y).

Placement Experience:

There is a fully functioning placement cell in the university. 200+ companies do visit, but many students sure do go empty handed. Placement guarantee depends on the stream. Commerce streams are more likely to be selected rather than English, Journalism students. Placement officers make a genuine effort.

Music studies in christ like never before

The college culture is on top You will always Find Something happening and Some event happening in the campus
Top level Infrastructure is there And With huge campus
Diversity in the University and There are students and Faculty from around the world

Dislikes

The hectic schedule and strictness in college
The dress code Is a problem for a lot of people
The attendance is A big problem in christ You NEED 85% attendance

I chose this course because the combination of media and Music I only provided By this university in the country and the level of qualified faculty Is there and Top notch facility provided Like for music There are private practice Rooms and every practice Room have there own Instruments and all are properly sound proofed

Everything you need to know about christ

Likes

Faculty was great. Most faculty have doctorates and experience. 70% of the faculty were from NIMHANS
Course structure was great. Research and statistics is given major importance!

Dislikes

Infrastructure is very average. No air conditioned classrooms.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is great. The Research is given utmost importance. Some of the assignments they give are not helpful. It's a very hectic college. The course curriculum is good. We have 3 assessments and one final examination spun over 5 months.

Likes

Really happening campus life.There is always something going on in the campus that you could be a part of and learn new things
Vast variety of courses as compared to any other university including double majors which makes it easy to choose a course
Despite the happening part,the university is very disciplined and strictly adheres to its rules and regulations.There are barely any wierd activites on campus.

Dislikes

Minimum attendance is 85% which takes a toll on the student because not reaching that benchmark could really cause trouble
There are jammers inside the campus almost everywhere which makes it difficult to take up important calls.
The academic pressure exists,but if you can manage it,its not that big a deal.

Placement Experience:

Companies show up to college by 5th semester.Big 4 offers internships and PPO to children.The highest package was 25 LPA and the average package is 6-7 lla.there are certain criteria that you have to meet for sitting in placements,and if you're good enough,you'll definitely land up with a good job

Proffesionalism is their priority and i love that about Christ University ,campus life in Central campus is very good it's full greenery and peace except on days of fest which gets little to crowded and chaotic,
Teachers and monetirs are moderate some are exceptionally good and soem are just there for salary and tbh it depends on department to department, in bba department almost all teachers dedicated except few new teachers, beware they don't give marks
Placement compared to other private college for bba is good, support is too good for finding internships and for career counseling, libraries are perfect except UG library has no wifi so good luck with that and I like how they training is for world

Dislikes

Too strict with rules and create unnecessary drama for attendance 85% is compulsory for all departments and it's honestly a headache cause u can't do anything side thing 9 to 4 u r full packed don't have time for urslef and other stuffs
Teachers sometimes hold grudges and put that out on attendance and marks and unnecessarily mark kids absent when not in proper uniform (not wearing dupatta or tie) so get ready for that .but i have done my internship in an investment firm and
There also hr deducts salary if not dressed properly so yeah I'm getting ready for corporate world and one more thing they can improve is little comfortable clothing and library wifi

Placement Experience:

Placemnsts are good and average at the same time for bba f&a highest CTC was 21 lakhs but for general it's 12lakhs so yeah choose wisely , many big multinational companies come to Christ even for internship Goldman Sachs came even JPmorgan so yeahh it's good opportunity

Sneak into the Christ University: Strict yet Fun

I really liked the campus, it's huge with a lot of greenery around. The infrastructure is nice and the canteens are also good with many food options.
The university is a great place to network with more than 25000 students on the campus. The 8 departments in the university organize inter-departmental programs.
The college organises a variety of events that promote social learning and enthusiasm for co-curricular activities.

Dislikes

The college is very strict about the dresscode. Even the slightest of the hay-way of the uniform code can result in the non-entry of the student in the college. The guards send you back if you are not in proper attire.
The class size is huge, because of which teachers become less approachable. You yourself have to take an extra effort if you want to know something.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is well drafted, with covering most of the important topics as is included in the curriculum of top universities. The exam schedule is, however, very hectic. In one semester, you have the end semester exams, mid semester exams and 2 CIAs (Continous Internal Assessments). The CIAs cover almost everything ranging from class tests and vivas to presentations and research paper writing. Apart from the main subjects, there are some extra mandatory subjects, which I feelnare of less importance. One of those is the Holistic Education which deals with very basic and natural concepts. There is also an exam for Holistic Education, without clearing which you won't be eligible to attempt the end semester exams.

Well rounded professors , access to latest resources
Very good environment to learn, every pushes eachother to do better

Dislikes

Really strict with discipline issues, dress code is formals
piercings and tattoos are not allowed, they make claiming attendance for medical issues very difficult

Placement Experience:

Placements are pretty good as before the year ended more than 70% of my seniors were already placed but the packages are higher than standard but pretty low according to me the highest goes to 10L per Amun and the lowest comes down to 4L per Anum

A lot of extra curricular activities for personal growth
Good academic curriculum. Better understanding of subjects.
Promote practical learning as students have to present what ever they learn.

Dislikes

Students become eligible for placement from 5th semester in my course 14 major companies visit 7 in each 5th and 6th semester Highest package is offered by Goldman Sachs which I roughly around 20 to 25 lakhs per annum Around 80 percent of the students sitting for placement get the jobs My plan after my UG is to pursue mba in finance

The campus is serene and is very conducive to the academic environment
Campus Life is engaging as every month there is some intra college fest going on and subsequent stalls are set up for the same
The placement cell and it's co-ordination with students and provision of opportunities starts from 2nd year itself.

Dislikes

Very stringent attendance policy and dress code which needs to be adhered to at all times

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Curriculum is updated as per latest developments in the law, and the faculty are well versed with the latest developments in the laws even of core subjects, there are comprehensive specialization electives which help the students to understand their niche in a specific area of law. There are semester based exams split into three aspects CIA 1 :- Assignment based CIA 2 :- Mid semester Exams 50 marks CIA 3 :- Assignment based CIA's are spread accorss the semester according to chronology, however the gap between the same is subject to change (prepone/postpone) as per requirement or scenarios. Accounts for 45% of the marks End semester examinations :- 100 marks accounts for 50% of the marks 5% is given for attendance

No, Christ University Bangalore does not offer a standalone B.Sc. Bioinformatics program as a separate undergraduate course. Their official UG science offerings include B.Sc. in Biotechnology, Botany, Zoology, and related life-science combinations, which may include some bioinformatics topics within the curriculum.
