The course spans two years, with students required to complete various exams and projects. In the first year, students take three mandatory exams: Paper 1 on research, biostatistics, and physical education; Paper 2 on basic physiotherapy; and Paper 3, an elective. In the second year, students take two more electives, Papers 4 and 5, and must work on a short project as a second author and a thesis as the first author.
Additional requirements include seminar and journal presentations, technique demonstrations, and assessments like Mini-CEX and DOPS. Before the final exam, students need to present one paper and attend another. Master's interns receive a monthly stipend of around 5000. There are 11-12 physiotherapy departments for student postings, covering areas like general ward, surgery, labor, ortho, neuro, and oncology, with each posting lasting 15 days. Scholarships and financial aid are connected to State and National programs, though the process is lengthy.
The course fee is 2.5 lakhs for each of the first two years, with additional miscellaneous fees of 1 lakh. Project expenses range from 20,000 to 40,000, and conference costs are about 20,000.
