NMIMS Ph.D. Admission 2026
Admissions to the Ph.D. (Management) programme at NMIMS SBM for the 2026 batch are conducted in two phases. Phase 1 registration closed on 29th March 2026, and Phase 2 is currently open with registration running until 31st May 2026. Selection is based on a written Entrance Test (100 marks, 120 minutes) and a Personal Interview, both conducted at the Mumbai campus. Candidates with valid UGC-NET/JRF, CSIR-NET, SLET, GATE, GPAT, or equivalent qualifications are exempted from the written test but must appear for the Personal Interview.

Note: A valid UGC-NET/JRF, CSIR-NET, SLET, GATE, GPAT, or equivalent score exempts candidates from the NMIMS written entrance test. Candidates must still appear for the Personal Interview.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates must hold a Master's degree or a professional degree declared equivalent to the Master's degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate (or equivalent grade 'B' on the UGC 7-point scale).
- Candidates appearing in or awaiting final year results are eligible to apply for the full-time Ph.D. programme, provided the qualifying examination is conducted before the course commencement date; provisional admission will be given subject to clearing the final examination, with the final mark sheet to be submitted by 30th September 2026.
- Candidates who have obtained their degree through part-time, distance learning, correspondence, or open school from a recognized university are eligible to apply as per UGC guidelines.
Admission Process:
- Register online at www.nmims.edu and pay the non-refundable registration fee of Rs. 2,500 + GST. Specify the specialisation area and submit a 1,000-word Statement of Purpose (SOP).
- Download the call letter from the login dashboard (no separate call letter will be mailed).
- Appear for the NMIMS Entrance Test (100 marks, 120 minutes) at the Mumbai campus - Section A: Research Aptitude Test (Objective, 50%); Section B: Domain-specific Knowledge Test (Objective, 50%). Exempted for candidates with valid UGC-NET/JRF, CSIR-NET, SLET, GATE, GPAT, or equivalent scores.
- Appear for the Personal Interview (50 marks) at the Mumbai campus; interview is based on the SOP and assesses research orientation, aptitude, and conceptual clarity.
- Merit list is declared based on Entrance Test (70% weightage) and Personal Interview (30% weightage).
- Selected candidates must upload required documents and pay admission fees within the stipulated timeline to confirm provisional admission.
