Kanika library was the best thing i like about this institution. it is really great facility for students to read in a calm environment.
They are very helpful and student friendly with very good experiences and their mentorship is outstanding.
Maximum of th3 best ranking students get the placements at renowned companies like godrej bosch, hotachi, wipro, infosys, tcs, tata, mahindra etc.

Dislikes

Bad environment in night time and bad student in our side
The drainage system is very poor. In rainy season its very difficult to move in the campus.
The hostel food is not so great, many changes needs to be done.

I liked the smart classrooms with air conditioning features.
The faculties of computer science department are very nice.
All the faculties of the Computer Science department are highly qualified.

Dislikes

I would like a improvement on computer systems in our lab.
I would also like to get free wifi features.
I would also like to get improvement on parking.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My MSc Computer Science course contains many important papers such as; data structure algorithm, machine learning, artificial intelligence etc. Which are very important for skill development in software development field.

Why Ravenshaw University?

Likes

The infrastructure available is great keeping in mind that it is a Government institution.
The reputation it has is a great advantage. It gives weight to the degree as it is considered one of the best universities in the entire state.
Also, the environment is great for co-curricular activities other than studying. There are many clubs to be part of, also there’s a FM Studio of the college itself. The environment for sports is also Great.

Dislikes

According to me, the teaching staffs change very often. So to grasp every other teacher’s teaching style that quickly is really difficult.
The placements offered here are from limited companies only. Each year the same companies are ready to hire. I feel like there should be more options for the students as well.
Not a that big deal, but when it rains the main entrance of the university gets flooded with water and it is very hard to cross that while on foot.

Placement Experience:

There are multiple placement options available from the 5th semester. Multiple Companies try to hire the students. Companies like Accenture, EY, TCS, Deloitte, Cognizant, Wipro, etc are some of the top recruiters of students in Ravenshaw. Though they offer very minimal salary as the students are freshers with no experience about the work. The average package lies around 3LPA and Highest can go around 7LPA, which in my opinion is not that bad taking into consideration that the students are freshers. More than 50% students get placed from the Streams like BCom, BBA, etc. We recently got few placement options, however I haven't applied in many till now except for TCS. My plan is to take a year break and not to join any company in the near future.

I really like about the teachers and their teaching methods
And I also like about the hostel facility
And for good placement for students for their job settlement

Dislikes

I really don't like about the college location
And I don't like the distance from hostel to college
And I don't like the normal dresses for college classes it should be changed to uniform

Placement Experience:

Ravenshaw University gives placement system for self financing students only. Self financing has 3 year course.And at the end of 2nd year and beginning of 3rd year, they provide placements to the students.

Likes

Very good environment around the campus and enjoyable.
There are many activities and events for students to be engage and productive, feels very lively.
Indoor and outdoor space are available for multi purpose sports.

Dislikes

Hostel are not provided for self financing courses.

Placement Experience:

From 6th semester students become eligible for campus placements offered by the company. Deloitte, TCS, and multiple private banks and many other companies are visited. My plan after getting the degree is to pursue MBA.

A General Insight into Ravenshaw University

Likes

The campus is neatly maintained. Cleanliness is a must in the college. Infrastructure is well taken care of. Students socialize really well and organize events with unity.
Twachers are well-acclaimed and possess ample amount of knowledge. They are super friendly to be honest.
Not just academically, but the college offers all-round development for the students. A lot of facilities are there if the student is interested.

Dislikes

Teachers can be a little ignorant while teacher-student interaction. Students themselves sometimes get a little sketchy with their behavior.
Politics is dominant in the college. Protests and quarrels disturb peace inside the college.
Outside people enter casually into the campus and misbehave with students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really impressive in terms of preparing us for further entrances. The syllabus is well-structured in that case. Improvements can still be done by modifying the course according to the changes in the pattern of UGC NET.

My College Experience

I liked the hostel and the food of the hostel of the college also the atmosphere of the college hostel
I also liked the classrooms of the college. The benches were well arranged and comfortable for sitting
I also liked the college canteen very much. They provide best food at chesp rates ,which you can enjoy to the fullest

Dislikes

The things that i dont like is the timing of the classes , due to odd timing people misses their lunch
I also don't liked the. Computer system of the college, they dont provide proper computer system in the class rooms
Also some teachers teaching skills, they only came and read the sentence, which is kind difficult for the students to understand

Placement Experience:

• Our college placements are good, many students got job at various places because of our college placements. • Companies like Wipro, godrej, Tcs Visited our college for placements • 30 to 40 percent students of our college got placements at different locations

Ravenshaw University: A Good University

Likes

The nature of the campus is amazing for learning.
The share of boys and girls were nearly equal which shows the equality.
The faculty members were very dedicated which helps the students to learn easily and effectively.

Dislikes

There is actually no restrictions for outsiders.
The time gap between the semesters is less nearly 4 months because of COVID.
Less equipments were there for the laboratories.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness is moderate. It might be more better as in most of the departments they follow the modal syllabus which come from the higher authority but it would be better if they would edit the syllabus.

The environment my college has is the best one . Here you are always up by seeing the healthy environment.
The structure and the architecture ravenshaw holds has the best ever.
Here the teachers are very friendly as well as all the students are cool and can easily interact with each other.

Dislikes

The water logging system need to be improved.
The roads of ravenshaw should be improved .
Hostel facilities should be improved for both boys and girls.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I always want to choose English as it's been my favourite subject from my school days and here how the facilities teaches is another best part. English is a very vast subject and I guess it's the most romantic subject also as literature students are always deep into feelings. Teachers are best but if they want to improve then they can.
