PU Ph.D. (Earth Science) Fees

The Ph.D. programme at Pondicherry University is extremely affordable, being a Central University funded by the Government of India. For Science departments (including Earth Sciences), the initial payment at the time of admission is Rs. 26,430, which includes a one-time registration fee, caution deposit, amenities fund, and group medical insurance. Subsequent semester-wise payments are Rs. 11,750 per semester. Over the minimum 3-year (6-semester) duration, the total programme fee works out to Rs. 85,180. Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Geology, Applied Geology, Marine Geology, or Geophysics from a recognized university.
  • A minimum of 55% marks in the PG degree is required (50% for SC/ST/OBC Non-Creamy Layer/Differently-Abled/EWS candidates).
  • Final year PG students are also eligible to apply, subject to producing mark sheets before the date notified by the university.
