Faculity members commitement to excellence in teaching and research drives the academic success.
As the development increses day by day , i hope the campus placement may increase , because my companies are attracting towards our campus due to some innovations.

Dislikes

Placements are not that great in this college are average package is around 3.5 lpa which is not great.
The hostel is bad , there are problems with facilities and also mess
Washrooms are also not good and clean. i also disagree with this type of system.

Faculty of the college especially mechanical department and other core branches. And availability of options i.e. The college has architecture department also
Placement process of the college is very good and transparent unlike other colleges where they take money from students for the sake of placements
Exams are quite easy to clear in college as syllabus is easy and if you regularly attend classes you'll know what exactly to study and can prepare very easily.

Dislikes

Hostel timings for girls are worse. The hostel authorities treat female students as prisoners in the name of safety whereas there're no such restrictions on boys.
Traditional methods of teaching. The curriculum needs to be upgraded to bring in more practical knowledge than the book cramming.
We had zero industrial visits in 4 years which is the worse things of all . As an engineering college it is a colleges responsibility to provide students with exposure to the industry.

Placement Experience:

A number of reputed companies come to college for the placements for both circuit and core branches. big giants like TCS, WIPRO, INFOSYS, CAPGEMINI, COGNIZANT come to college but many other small companies which offer higher packages come to college for placement. And similarly for core branches L&T, SML , Hero Ecotech, Ralson, MRF, Cargill, Hero motocorp visit the campus. Pool campus drives for companies like samsung and Amazon are also confucted for the students .

gender imbalance: a notable girls to boys ratio imbalance affects diversity in campusactivities.
outdated teaching methods: some classes rely heavily on lectures, lacking interactive, hands on learning

students become eleigible for placements in 6th semester. reputed companies lke tcs, infosys, wipro and accenture visit, offering roles intech, management and engineering. the highest package is around 12 lakhs witha an average of 4 to 5 lakhs.

College fee was quite affordable and one of major reason/dividing factor for taking admission here but only till 2021 batch as it has increased now.
Placement cell is quite an impressive system which works a lot on the students to provide them a lot of opportunities.
Girls to boys ratio differs from course to course but collectively it is quite good than most other colleges but talking about my course it was 1:4 which is quite average as other colleges.

Dislikes

College fest is the most disappointing factor, there is only one major fest in a year which is a two day fest but other than that there are very few fests in which only actors who have to promote their song or film are called even in freshers party.
The faculty's expertise, teaching methods, and mentorship quality is just average.
There is lack of coding culture too but it varies from person to person.

Placement Experience:

NoPlacement opportunities are quite good students are eligible for placementa from 6th semester. Average package is 5-6 lpa, while the highest is 45 lpa. No. of companies that visits is over 400. Almost all students who opt for placement cell are placed.

Likes

College will provide siblings compensation in fee.
College is neat and clean, including gardens and greenery.
Faculties are very helpful and friendly in nature.

Dislikes

There is more crowd here lately, so it will be an issue.
Classes are 9 to 4.30 so it becomes hectic.
College Campus is small as compare to CU.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements from semester 3rd and the also get internship after 2nd semester. Placement rate is quite impressive as we look for the fee. In short more than 75% of the students will get placed and remaining will get offers as well but they don't join. My plan after MBA is be a good manager at some biggest company.

Teachers are very polite and soft spoken
Study material for each subject is provided at time
Separate training classes for placement program

Dislikes

Working hours should be reduced, daily we have to attend 7 lectures
Uniform should not be there as we have to wear uniform 2 days in a week
Boys shoul be allowed to wear ethnic in working hours

Placement Experience:

Our college is good for placements. Last year highest package was 14 lakh per annum. It also provide internship opportunity. One can also start his own startup with the help of college. Most of the students are placed. Many companies including Deloitte, fedral Bank etc. visit here. I also want to get placed.

life at CGC

the infrastructure of the campus is beautiful, it has parks, grounds, libraries ands hostels nearby
greate preference is given to extracurricular activities like clubs NCC, RSS etc.
events are conducted very often, with inviting celebraties from punjab

Dislikes

course ciriculum is outdated, new methids are not taught
not preference is given to practical knowlege
more preference to punjabi culture, and other cultures are not fully explored

Placement Experience:

from 5th semester student are eleigible for capmus placement this year for bba , coding ninza have made a higest offer of 4.5 lakh till december of 2024, compnies like ditto insurance have given work from home oppurtunities 50% of the student get placed each batch i will go for higher education for MBA

Teachers were very nice and well qualified. They knew to teach us well even with the limited resources at the college.

Dislikes

Infrastructure was not developed fully. Not furnished but I think it would have been improved
Labs lacked necessary equipment to conduct experiments.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In terms of relevance the course material was designed by the University. The material lacked relevance to the industry trends. As we were studying between 2012-2016 the books which were published in 1980s/1990s. And mostly the topics were not well understood without teachers' assistance.

The placements of our college for the year 2024 batch is low as compared to other years the reason due to rise in artificial intelligence and mass recession in global markets but still many students got placed.

Placement is not so good They just provide 1to 2 lakh per annum And oly take those students who know english. English is mandatory for students to taking placement in company And also they carry 1 or 2 students

Likes

The environment college offers is great . The teachers over there or staff sitting at respective places are also helpful
One of the greatest attraction to a scholar is books and materials so the library of the college is ful of content
Sanitation is also there every single corridor is sweeped twice or thrice in my lecture hours

Dislikes

The crowd is on bit lower side as the college is located in tier 3 locality
The parking facilities for student vehicles is good if you have two wheeler but if you have four wheeler u just got ample amount only no security guard nothing
The peer of the college or you can say student is on a showoff bit as its trend over there in our state
