Review- Banasthali Vidyapith

Likes

The faculty teach you here like school. Very regularly and in-depth. No concept of bunks. Attendance is a big thing here. I have heard some people couldn't write end sem exams because of attendance.

Dislikes

The studies are more theoretical than practical. In my opinion, Banasthali is good when your goals are academic. You cant expect placement or internship opportunities. It's like an other planet in itself.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum was well-planned and nothing seemed out of place (except for COBOL. Idk why they taught us that!) But the curriculum was good and the teachers were experienced, so it made the experience nice.

The syllabus of the subject is very attractive and it influenced myself to choose this course. The curriculum has prepared me for real world applications or further academic pursuits. The areas for improvement for this particular course can be placement opportunities

Honesty at its peak

Likes

Faculty members are really supportive and encouraging.
The college provides many other co-curricular, cultural, sports and academic activities where they teach you and provide you with good opportunities
The hostel food is better than most of the colleges

Dislikes

There’s no exposure for students. There are many boundations regarding going out or staying out in late hours within the campus. The leave signing process is too exhausting.
There are not appropriate facilities for transport firstly you can’t get your own vehicle even an electric scooter is not allowed and if you take the campus bus that is Meta it is always late
In our department there is no placement no internship guidance and for Photojournalism there are not enough equipments. We don’t have a single FUJI cam.

Course Curriculum Overview:

We have periodicals every month and then semester exams after every 2-3 months. They are not that difficult though but we have a lot of syllabus to cover. But periodicals help us a lot as we study for periodicals we ourselves get ready for finals.

THE ENVIRONMENT,THE FOOD, THE BEHAVIOUR OF WARDENS WITH CHILDREN
FREE LIFE WITH NO SECURITY TENSION FOR PARENTS, clean and spacious hostels,great hostel life
THE NATURE,EDUCATION, PROFESSORS, PLACEMENTS, OPPORTUNITIES

Dislikes

THE EXTRA LOAD DURING EXAMS, RESTRICTION OF INTIME IN HOSTEL

Placement Experience:

The placements are really good here and overall placement goes 98 percent almost everyone gets placed, and ample 2-month opportunities come here where u can get a PPO and 6 month companies are less but u need to apply off-campus for that then.

Professors over here are very helpful . You just do not complete the syllabus but also teaches you life lessons and guides you in every problem you face either in the placements session or even in your academics.
You will be provided hostel if you do not live within 500 km of the campus or maybe less .Rooms will be allotted according to your needs sometimes when its to rush wardens do not ask you but when you become familiar to them you can ask them to change
You do not get non veg but still you get all the junk food and must say only sometimes mess food sucks otherwise all the 4 meals are great .We have different fest for every course and the most appealing is APAJI MELA for 3 days Held in campus itself

Dislikes

Yes. ofcource the strictness over here either to get dressed or to go out or even sometimes for following Vidyapeeth rules .Yes you are only allowed to wear KHADI kurti and pants ,Not even jeans or salwar .We have dress code also for wed and sunday.
everytime you want to go out you have to ask you parents to send written application for leave by post .You will be only allowed to take 10 days leave per semester .And after the application it usually takes 2 days for verification except emergency.
Yes we only have TUESDAYS off and that day only we get Wi-Fi facility for whole day otherwise it's 5 pm -2 am and 6 am to 10 am .We also need to pay 2k for wifi for whole year and 1200 approx. for per sem. and also its available on LAPTOP only.

Dont know about the other courses but as of i know the syllabus here is not that updated of BCA . Maybe the upcoming batches might be having latest updates but me and my batchmates regret sometimes as we were not taught most of the updated syllabus.

Banasthali is a complete package of everything

Banasthali is all about aesthetic things
It has a beautiful gardens and a little pond where u can go for a picnic

Dislikes

It's has a quite hot weather. Less rain over there
Thats all there is nothing more to dislike about banasthali

Placement Experience:

The campus placement of banasthali is good for all the courses but for b.tech students it has a best placement. As a b.tech student we have all the top companies for the placement some of like CISCO, TATA MOTORS, FLIPKART, UNILEVER, JP MORGAN,L&T, PWC and many more. As a b.tech student you are eligible to seat in the placement exam from 3rd year only. If you crack any company exam they will provide you 2 month's internship and after that PPO. And for final students some companies provide internship but else all get placed. 80% placement goes every year, the highest packeg is about 22 lpa this year or more than that also and least package is about 4 lpa .

My college life

Likes

College has some very strict rules.It is only for girls.
The surrounding or the environment is very friendly so you will love the place.
The campus is very nice and full of greenery.

Dislikes

The temperature of that place especially during summers is just at next level.
Shortage of water is a very common issue.
The place still needs to be developed very much.

Placement Experience:

College placement at my college is very nice for B.Tech students. More than 90% placements are offered every year in the college. But this year,due to recession the college is facing some placement issues. The companies are not coming much like earlier also the companies are not taking much students like earlier.

The thing I liked most about Banasthali Vidyapith is that it is so safe for girls, they promote womes education at very broad level along with providing extra cuuricular activites

Dislikes

The campus is closed which makes you little scared of outside world

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say it is average, as compared to other colleges here you will find things very easy which makes you less compeatitve. Also exams here are very easy to score and one thing you will face problem is books of journalism are not much available.

Life in Banasthali

Likes

I liked the study schedule of my course as being a highly practical course
I like the cultural fest of my University as they are heavily emersed in our Indian cultural heritage but also quite modern in celebration
The canteen food especially shanu's were quite good and have many special food items

Dislikes

Just the process of getting pass to go outside of campus is a little lengthy one
There are not much in a way of transportation inside the campus as the campus is quite big.
It's mandatory to wear khadi and traditional wear too which could be quite boring after some time

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am quite interested in creativity and enjoy work related to space design so I chose this programme. I think this is my best decision as Banasthali has a very comprehensive programme for design as the theory, practical work, projects, field trips and workshops are very much balanced to provide as much experience in this field before we even start internships. Most of the practical projects are based on real field experiences. I think to better improve the course the faculties could organise seminars or workshops with successful individuals of the fields more so that they can guide us for our career choices. Exams are very evenly distributed in semesters. 2 FA and 1 final exams in a semester. Theory exams are quite easy if you have paid attention in the classes but practical exams difficulty is a little bit high due the course requirements & as the practicals are with external faculty. But if you are serious about your studies they are also very easy to pass and score high

BSc biotechnology at Banasthali Vidyapith

The course curriculum was good and beneficial for the students pursuing BSc biotechnology
The university provides five fold education which contributes to holistic development of students.

Dislikes

Some students tend to have a problem with the restrictions, especially on clothing and going out.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum of the BSc biotechnology course has been prepared very well. It is quite descriptive and contains all the branches of biotechnology that one needs to learn about. The lab work has also been included quite well in the curriculum. Classes are held everyday from 9-5 expect on Tuesdays.

My sister chose to pursue her graduation and post-graduation from Banasthali Vidyapith. She enjoyed all of the benefits of staying on campus, such as participating in extracurricular activities, being autonomous, and so on.

Check the following points for a brief review of Banasthali University:

In terms of academics, Banasthali University has a lot to offer. It is a strong contender in many of them - computer science, MBA, Home Science, Literature and Language, Social Sciences, Mathematics, and so on.
It also has adequate sports facilities, but they can be improved. Banasthali University does not have separate coaches for many sports.
The only thing that would bother you is the strength of the classrooms. At times, it will be completely unacceptable
Banasthali VIdyapith fee structure is also inexpensive, despite any financial difficulties, you can easily cover the costs of most of the courses.

Overall, Banasthali University offers a wonderful experience. Despite its flaws as an institution, it has many characteristics that make it wonderful and valuable.
