SRM University Chennai Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

The students are eligible for campus placements from 7th semester and they are placed in a company. A lot of companies visit to the campus while some of them being multinational companies. There are a lot of offers made. Students are divided into different categories according to their cgpa and only high cgpa students can apply for mnc. As I am currently in third semester so I don't know much about the offers but I have heard that the average package is 9 lpa and almost 90% and 95% of students are placed. I myself for now want to get placed in a good mnc or any high paying job and then in future I can probably think about startup.

I didn't get any information about placement in our department but faculty members said from my batch placement is planned for my department and without getting any black mark for any semesters with average 20k

I initially opted for MBBS since I couldn't get into it I chose BDS through counselling. The college prepares you for the real world as in communicating and treating plenty of patients. Treating patients begins from as early as in 3rd yr. The exam a bit difficult all the subjects are vast. The exams lasts around 3 hrs

Course curriculum was good. It's actually a nice course but we didn't get nice staff who can help us better in understanding the topics. Computer lab and subjects related were also good. We have a chance to learn c, c++, R , Python etc

The curriculum doesn't make us focused at alll alll it cares about it is its feee the exams are so quick that we wake up and open eye there ll be a exam not time to sleep properly asw just exams every weeek

The course curriculum is very good as they introduce several languages like French German and Japanese in their curriculum in the first year itself and they properly switched to computer science based subjects in the second year itself

The placements were not so high. There are some companies visit the campus with a salary of 3lakh to 5lakh per annum. I have a plan of going for job after completing my studies If I get good package on campus job I'll opt for it orelse I will Opt for off campus placement

There are more than 50+ companies are there and also IT department show 100 percentage of placements every year... Multi national companies like Amazon, Google, Infosys,Nestle also comes for the placements.

I knew a bit about placements, companies will reach out to our college in our 6th semester. Companies which have visited our college are tcs, Deloitte, Accenture etc We have lot of choices when it comes to placement drive. Placements here will have 3 tires one is 30k per month and other two having more skills based on their course like 1Lpa or 2LPA this is of other 2 tires This is how placement will be going on. As per my knowledge 4th yr students have just passed few days ago most of them are placed Rate of placement:80% My plans after my betch is to go abroad for higher studies and get job in a reputed company.
