The medical college and hospital is at Mundiyampakkam village, Villupuram District. Being located at a village, the medical college focuses on maintaining good health of rural people. There are 1100 beds which are used by patients. 650 beds are used for teaching and 450 beds are used for other medical purposes. Being close to nature, the college is surrounded by greenery. One can get fresh air and healthy environment easily. However, the city is a little bit far away.

Preethi Hospital Madurai runs a medical college as Preethi Paramedical Institute which was established in the year 2010. As of now, the medical institute offers various diploma courses. The courses are recognized and conduct by the Indian Medical Association-Paramedical wing of Tamilnadu State Branch. Also, the medical institute takes students in B.Sc. Allied Science.

Admission to this course in made via application form that has to be filled and submitted available along with the prospectus. Also, student should've completed his higher secondary or an equivalent qualification with physics, chemistry and biology as his main subjects.

The college needs to develop a bit of more infrastructure such as hostel, few labs etc., so as to accommodate according to the needs of the student. It also needs to focus on providing better and more placement opportunities to its students.

I got admission to the college through the NEET entrance exam. Scored around 540 in the NEET exam. Applied for the college under the All India category seats (15%) and got it in the later rounds of the counseling. I also gave the AIIMS exam but could not get enough marks to get a seat.
