BHU: Students' Opinion

AI-Generated Summary based on 3 Reviews

Admission to the university requires passing a specific entrance exam and participating in a rank-based counseling process. The institution is recognized for its good faculty and positive learning environment, with teachers conducting 4 to 5 structured lectures daily. While the faculty-to-student ratio is commendable, there have been concerns about the arts faculty's responsiveness to student issues. The course fee for two years is approximately 5,000 INR, excluding hostel fees. Hostel fees are about 3,500 INR annually, with a mess charge of 40 INR per meal.

The university holds annual placement drives with around 10 companies like ABP News and Wipro, but the department's placement record is poor, with only 4% of students securing jobs, partly due to a lack of initiative from the placement coordinator. Students are urged to focus on being sincere and working smartly to improve placement chances. The university offers scholarships through the UP Scholarship Department, available to students from any state, with specific options for those from Uttar Pradesh.

Fees for specific semesters are 2,681 INR for the 1st and 3rd, and 600 INR for the 2nd and 4th, with a semester course fee of 2,500 INR. Although financial aid or job placement isn't provided, the university offers benefits like medical services and free campus bus transportation.
