Admissions to M.Tech ECE at PES University are conducted through GATE scores, Karnataka PGCET scores, or the PES University Entrance Process. GATE 2026 was conducted in February 2026 and results were declared on March 19, 2026. Karnataka PGCET 2026 for M.Tech/M.E./M.Arch is scheduled for May 23, 2026. Candidates with valid GATE 2026 scores can apply directly to PES University. KEA counselling for PGCET quota seats is expected in July/August 2026.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must hold a B.E./B.Tech degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline from a recognized university.
• Minimum 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying degree (45% for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Karnataka state norms).
• Candidates appearing in the final year of their qualifying examination are also eligible to apply provisionally.
• Must have a valid GATE score (EC paper) or Karnataka PGCET score, or qualify the PES University Entrance Test.

Admission Process

PESU M.Tech ECE Scholarships 2026

PES University offers merit-based scholarships to M.Tech ECE students based on their academic performance post-admission. The Prof. MRD Scholarship provides a 50% tuition fee refund to the top 5% of students, while the Prof. CNR Rao Scholarship offers a 40% tuition fee refund to the next 20% of students. GATE-qualified students may also be eligible for AICTE stipends as per government norms.
