Nowadays, B.A. Journalism and Mass Communication is on a boom and it has a good scope. According to some of my friends studying at the Gwalior, Amity is the best one in terms of both the fees as well as the education. The Amity School of Communication (ASCO) is one the most prominent institutes of Media education in the Gwalior region of Madhya Pradesh. Firstly, the main focus of ASCO is to make people aware of high-quality media education in the region of Madhya Pradesh (Gwalior). Secondly, to produce highly qualified media professionals – print and electronic journalists, anchors, creative designers, producers, presenters, etc. With a Journalism degree, you can also work as Advertising professionals, public relations professionals, photojournalists, and academicians in the field of media studies. Moreover, the program thus consists of six semesters over three years. Students study 11 different subjects per semester with a perfect blend of practical and theoretical knowledge. Scope: The growth of social media and online platforms has opened many more opportunities, other than print and television. It has gradually become a competitive field. But due to the constant demand, they will require a lot of professionals. Thus the scope will increase each day. If you choose to pursue BJMC, then it’s a win. You can look forward to working in the fields such as public relations, television, films, publishing, journalism, editing, direction, etc. Furthermore, the talented and trained individuals in India and abroad are given lucrative and attractive positions as journalists, actor, editor, screenwriters, RJ, producers, and VJ.

Which one will be better for Mass Communication: Amity University (Noida) or Manipal University (Jaipur)?

Amity University, Noida, and Manipal University, Jaipur are not good options for Mass Communication. I know a few people from both the institutes and I have not heard good reviews about the mass communication program at the institutes. For 2 years, Amity University, Noida will charge almost 6 lakhs for the course. However, the quality of education and the placement opportunities is not worth the course fee that they charge. Most of the students end up getting sales jobs with a salary package of around INR 30,000 per month. The same can be seen at Manipal University Jaipur. The problem with the Mass Communication program offered by these institutes is that the course structure is quite outdated. It does not meet the needs of the current industry. So, if you want a successful career in Mass Communication it will be better if you don’t choose any of these two options.

My experience of Amity was great.

Fees and Financial Aid:

I hve heard that there was some scholarship program but I can't help you sice I have no idea how it worked. And fee structure was Rs 73000/ semester and we had two semesters per year and there was an increase of around 10% every year last semester was around Rs 93000. Ofcourse there was different fees after that like for library card I gues it was Rs 500. And if you lost your id card twice and then they charged around Rs 750. You also had to pay security fee which was Rs 20000 and was refunded once you graduate.

My degree is online so the semester wise fee is Rs.27500 which is quite affordable for me. The overall quality of teaching and online study material meets the meets the requirements for this amount of money.

A Glimpse of My college

The marking scheme of the college is not that much appropriate.
Fee structure is very high and it cannot be afforded by some of the people in the society.

Talking about the fee structure it's very much high for a middle class family to offer this kind of study to thier son or daughter. Although we have a scholarship scheme which includes various parameters to avail the scholarship. One who has scored well in 12th exams is eligible to get a scholarship.

The fee was 50000 for 1 semester. The cost to study was good as we had a studio, both a radio and TV studio. Fees hike was annual. If 12th class marks were good, then we can avail scholarship according to our marks.

The fees are quite high and also after you see the management at some point you will think about the fees which got wasted and also, for now, there is a lot of internship opportunity for the students and many more new things too. So the fee is reasonable and justified for this school.

The fee hike policy was between 5% to 10% and the cost to study varied from course to course. I did not receive any scholarship or financial assistance as such but I know people who did avail them. I did get a job while being in college but that was via LinkedIn no college placement.

Factors of Importance Fall Short

Complete course cost me almost 8 lacs. Fees for 1st year was 1.25 lac each semester which hiked to 1.315 to 1.385 subsequently. Apart from college fees, major projects like ad. films and shows in later semesters will cost quite well. College provides scholarships to students with merit scores in 12th which is provided only for the 1st semester. University provides financial assistance, for example, exemption of fee during covid times, but doesn't really apply.
