u will not be forced to come to every class that happens but 75% attendance is mandatory

Fees and Financial Aid:

the fee for academic is 128000 for the first semester and it is 113000 for second semester and from next semester you have to pay 93000 and hostel fees is 61620 this does not change that much,after admissio you can avail for schlorship like nsp and many more

Don't join if you don't care about the iiit tag cause we have poor college life

Fees and Financial Aid:

We pay hostel fees of around 60k per semester and tution fees around 1.2 lakh full year with all the inclusive charges. My batchmates which are from reservation quota pay around 1.5 lakh for the whole year. Scholarships are there but there are a lot types.

The fee will be paid semester wise and per semester fee tution fee is 110000 and first sem fee will be significantly larger for about 124380 deatiled fee structure for 1st sem is as follows: Tution fee : 110000 per sem registration fee : 500 one time ID card fee : 200 one time Student activity fee : 1430 (with 10% increase every year) infrastructure maintainance fee : 550 (with 10% increase every year) examination fee : 750 per sem institute developement fee : 5000 one time Alumini registration fee : 2000 one time Library caution money : 1000 one time refundable Institute caution money : 2000 one time refundable Fee will be fixed and same for all no matter the category of the student and there is no tution fee waiver seat in our college If you need financial assistance you can fill up for National Scholarship on NSP(National scholarship portal) this is an income based scholarship and not for gen category students There is also NVMCM scholarship which is a merti based scholarship

Curriculum - A very good Curriculum and Academics
Subjects- Core subjects and Some important subjects like Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence are taught as they are the next big thing.

Dislikes

Smaller Size - The college only has two courses and that too recently. Before it had only CSE. so not much people in the whole campus.
Limited Courses - It has only two courses that is CSE and ECE. And that too ECE is introduced from 2021.

Fees and Financial Aid:

Tuition fee may increase or decrease if the permanent campus is completed because they may have extra expenses for renting a campus. My complete cost will be around Rs 10-12 lakh evrything included for four years. Id card few is taken only once but if you lose you id card then they will charge extra for that. So first semester fee goes around 1.01 lakhs. There may be state scholarship of the students but the institute doesn't offer any scholarship for any student except SC and ST category. They get a fee waiver. The campus placements will start from August 2024 for my batch.

Tuition fee generally don't get a hike, you have to pay it within given time limit or fine of rs-1000/- will be imposed. For my education, total cost is around 12 lakhs rupees including hostel fees. scholarships like SVMCM,PM yasasvi scholarships are available for students and students do avail these.

My overall experience regarding IIIT Kalyani as a Student

Fees and Financial Aid:

Tuition fees are unchanged for the 4-year degree for most of its part and it is approx 93,250 rupees per semester. But you don't have to worry much because the scholarship cell provides all kinds of support regarding state and national-level scholarships. So it will be a big relief for you. The placement cell is adequate. But prepare for off-campus if you want a higher package. There is an alumini network and they will guide and help you regarding this.
