Ques. Is CUET PG mandatory for admission to M.Sc Botany at MUIT Lucknow?
Ans. No, CUET PG is not mandatory. MUIT accepts both CUET PG scores and its own MUIT Entrance Examination for PG admissions. Students who have a valid CUET PG score can get direct admission, while others can appear for the MUIT Entrance Exam. Many students have reported getting admission without any entrance exam, based purely on their graduation marks.
Ques. What is the actual fee I will pay per semester for M.Sc Botany at MUIT?
Ans. The tuition fee is INR 18,000 per semester (INR 36,000 per year). In addition, an examination fee of INR 2,000 per semester is charged separately. So the effective per-semester payment is approximately INR 20,000. Hostel charges (if opted) are INR 30,000 per year, billed separately.
Ques. Does MUIT Lucknow have a dedicated Botany lab and research facilities?
Ans. Yes, the Maharishi School of Sciences at MUIT has well-equipped laboratories for Botany, including facilities for plant physiology, ecology, and molecular biology experiments. The department also organises regular educational visits to premier research institutes like CSIR-NBRI and CSIR-CIMAP, both located in Lucknow, giving students hands-on research exposure.
Ques. What career options are available after M.Sc Botany from MUIT Lucknow?
Ans. Graduates can pursue careers as botanists, plant biologists, ecologists, or researchers in government and private organisations. Ques. Can I get a scholarship if I scored 75% in my B.Sc graduation?

If you scored 75%, you may not qualify for the university's merit scholarship, but you can still apply for government scholarships (NSP or UP Scholarship) if you meet the income and category criteria. Girl students also get an additional 10% concession regardless of marks.

Ans. Yes, MUIT is a UGC-recognised private university established under the MUIT Uttar Pradesh Act No. 31 of 2001. The M.Sc Botany degree is a regular full-time programme and is recognised by UGC. The university is also NAAC accredited. Graduates are eligible to apply for UGC NET/JRF, government jobs, and Ph.D. programmes at other universities.
