All about IIITDMJ

Likes

The teachers are very polite and good. They interract with the students in a very good manner
The sports facilities also very good. There are many game are played in the campus for example cricket, kabaddi,bolleyball, etc
The environment of the education is very good.

Dislikes

The campus is in out of the city which is a major drawback
The quality of food is not good in the campus’s mess
There is also a no facility of conveinence for student.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of the institute is very good. The average package offerd for the cse stidents is 20 lacs and for ece 18 lac and for me&sm is 10 lacs. More than the 50 percent of student got placed in the campus placement

MUST CONSIDER COLLEGE- IIITDM JABALPUR

Likes

Campus Life as campus is very big and nature friendly
PDC classes will be held for personal development and career and it will be very helpful
Coding and technical Clubs are Highly active and even sports clubs

Dislikes

Placement cell can be better as they are showing some offcampus placements as on campus placements

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements from the 5th semester which contains internships and those can be converted to full-time opportunities. Also from the 7th semester students can participate in the companies which offer PPO with internships, or Direct full-time jobs. Around 75% of students are placed in the year 2024. The average package according to the placement cell is 19lpa, and the highest as 1.1cr, we have to note one point that these packages mentioned by the placement cell include offers from off campus also.

First of all the campus enviornment is beautiful and the weather over there is pretty good while being in a forest area. The overall scenaries makes it comfortable to spend your 4 years peacefully.
The buildings and their architectures are good , hostels are good enough with the space provided plus there's canteen in every hostel which makes sure you don't feel short of food till 12 pm.
The academic schedule is not as hectic also there's a lot of holidays and breaks provided .

Dislikes

Well the college being a IIIT , makes it lack a bit culture where less fests at organised but still the students make sure things are active and are fun. So things actually happen but not on a very large scale still it's quite fun.
Sports grounds are not available, there is a single ground which is somehow big enough to play all the sports but still there should have been one more ground as the space is there.

Placement Experience:

After 6th sem, one is eligible for the campus placements. This year 2023-2024 placements were affected because of the recession and that was on the global level and every placement was affected throughout every college be it the IITs. The highest international package this year was 122 LPA from CSE while the domestic being 110 LPA from ECE. Percentage of students placed- 64%. Around 290 offers were there from the companies this year.

An insider view of iiitdm jabalpur

Likes

campus life is very good here and campus is also superb
exposure of culture of all over india because student came here from every part of the country
hostels are really good with proper cleaning and other facilities

Dislikes

academic schedule is vey hectic which you may not like
campus is away from the city about 10 kms
some faculties are very boring while teaching

Placement Experience:

placements and internship opportunities are there in the collge.you are eligible for internship from 3rd year. most of the well known companies visit the campus like flipkart,amazon,cognizant,infosys,accenture etc. more than 350 offers are made last year by more than 100 companies.

Likes

Campus size Very Big and completely engrossed in nature that gives you quite comfortable and fresh vibes
Lecture Hall Tutorial Complex(LHTC) that is what we call our main building where all classes are held and honestly speaking it's quite spacious

Dislikes

Situated in outskirts of jabalpur City so you have to travel half an hour to main City in case you want to buy anything from city
Mess good is not that bad but still somedays it's quite on the down side and works are still there for its improvement

Placement Experience:

Student are mostly eligible for placements after completion of 3rd year or after end of 6 semesters except of few who get in 6th semester as well. Highest package in mechanical branch was 50 l.p.a. and average would be 6-7 l.p.a

College life and Culture

Likes

The thing I liked the most is the atmosphere of the college , it is spacious and lush green. The thing you would most enjoy is roaming in the college during your free time with your friends.
The seniors are helpful and easy to interact with. You can approach them and ask for any help
The hostels and rooms are good and are maintained on weekly basis. Wifi speed is average

Dislikes

If you are from mechanical or smart manufacturing then the placement rate is very less as I have been told and your seniors will say the same thing.
You have to remain in clubs to play cricket or football. Don't worry about badminton as you have your own court in your hostel

Placement Experience:

Well I am in Mechanical department . The placement are not good if you are in ME or SM you will face backlash from your seniors about placements. Don't get disheartened or depressed you can still sit in IT placements if you maintain your cgpa 8 or above and have done paid internship, created projects. You just have to remain serious and interact with your seniors, be in technical clubs, you would learn a lot in less time. Well you are always eligible for core placement and can also prepare for GATE exams.

Ranking of college it going down and down hope it may become better
No fest is going on . They tried to do one fest tarang but it also not happened

Palcements are their but it is available in less amount as after COVID placement of the colllege have been reduced but placement cell is working they are trying thier bust to create more placement opportunities

A detailed review on PDPM IIITDM JABALPUR

Likes

The infrastructure of the campus is very good
The gym in our campus is very spacious and hygienic
The food at the non veg mess in campus Is excellent

Dislikes

The campus is situated 15 km far from the city
The campus main entrance gate in absent
The guards in the campus are very strict the security is very much high

Placement Experience:

The placements in our campus are quite amazing as there is an effective placement cell commetie is quite good and never fail to get placement offers from good companies And the avarage placement package in our campus is around 27 lpa

some aspects of IIITDM

Likes

The college is good in terms of infrastructure. The main buliding blocks of classes and labs are well maintained with air conditoning,internet.
the good part is , the college has a centralised mess for everyone(both boys and girls) . We know many duet stories that have their start point in mess & Nescafe.
our college focuses on design branch as well. They provide design electives as well which are intresting and stress relieving. These design branch people make the college intresting through brighter views and their culture.

Dislikes

Accomdation in hostels in summer, its way more hotter here in summer . we need some improvement of hostels for ventilation or air condtioning in summers . living in college in summer is struggling in hell.

Placement Experience:

In 2022 and before, the placements were so good, in 2023 we dont have actual information, we are waiting. We hope soo they are good. personality development classes and .. etc are being taken to do good in placements

Good infrastructure and facilities,great responsive faculty with good recognition,good hostel facilities.

Dislikes

Placement Experience:

Generally form 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements.The companies visited are Accenture,adani group,Amazon,exl services, Flipkart,info edge ltd.,Infosys Intel oracle,etc.The no.of offers made in 2022 was 450+ and in 2023 was 350+.The highest package as of 2023 was INR 82lpa(UG)and average package as of 2023 was INR 21.63lpa(UG).The percentage of students getting placed is 74.2% as of 2023.
