However on academic success, they aslo offer scholarships which reduces the course fee by 70%.
The alumni of this very institution are placed at top company and firms like deloitte,kpmg,ey etc
The faculty is quite good and the library is filled to the brim with books. most members of the faculty are very friendly and always ready to help students with doubts.

Dislikes

Canteen food horrible in taste no chips no chocolates no cheese no butter no options very bad
There was very poor coordination among the administration and faculty. Sometimes the adminstration didn't even think of the students.
Attendance not giving for events if no attendance they debar the students without any rehem

St. Xavier's University - One of a kind in Kolkata

Likes

Campus, the college has a pretty well established campus with highly advanced classrooms and labs and a good infrastructure for students.
Culture, the high approach towards academic success and discipline followed by the college is incomparable.
Highly qualified and well behaved teachers, who are always available to help the students whenever they need them.

Dislikes

The surroundings, because of being situated in a under development area, there are not much resources around the college. Mostly the places are being build and are currently barren.
The intense pressure on attendance, students are sometimes forced to maintain a high attendance in order to appear for the exams, which being a student of mass communication causes some problem to me atleast.
Not so happening, the college has a grand annual event but apart from it there are not much happening in the college.

Placement Experience:

you are given summer internships from semester 4, however for campus placements one must wait untill the final year, which for the new UGC batches will be semester 7 and 8. Several companies visit to hire students and take them onboard.

Beyond the Campus

Likes

The msot appreciative thing about my college is the environment and the events which takes place from day to day.
The boy is to girls ration is almost the same.
All the faculty members are very well in their job.

Dislikes

The thing that I dislike is about the attendance criteria
The food is sometimes not up to the standard quality.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The improvement in the course I feel like it should consist of more real life based rather more practical concepts. Which we require from our day to day activity. According to me this course is something new and a new concept not available in many of the colleges.

Good for management student

Likes

Campus is beautiful and big with full greenery
Infrastructure is good with hostel facilities available inside the campus
Faculty is very friendly and well educated

Dislikes

Rule and regulations is very tight and this is not likeable
Attendance compulsory minimum 75% other wise you can’t able to sit for sem exam
Language barrier cause mother tongue is Bangla and student come from different different states so they can face language barrier

Placement Experience:

Placement is good enough many companies visit every year for campus placement company like tata, wipro, Asian paint etc visit Highest package for MBA student is 20lpa and average is 4lpa this data is for 2023

St xaviers university through my lens

Likes

Teaching faculty is too noch and there are experienced faculty members. They are very knowledgeable.
Infrastructure is very good and it gives a positive vibes, tenre are different buildings such as academic buildings, library building etc.
There is also a placement sell in our campus which provides placement for mba, mass com. Law.

Dislikes

I dislike the fact that there are less lift as compared to the buildings and classes.
Also the timings of the classes, it should be kess.
I dislike the fact that some items in the canteen are very rich.

The subject are very effective suxh as tax kaw, constitutional law. Evidence law. Business law and many more m. The curriculum helps us in facing real world challenges in court and also help in corporate field.

The Xaverian Experience

Likes

One of the best things about this college is that it’s heat proof, all the classrooms including halls and auditorium, it’s all air conditioned.
The campus size is huge, there’s a lot to do and a lot of activities can be pursued in the campus.
The faculty members are quite supportive and they’re always present to guide their students.

Dislikes

The college administration is extremely strict about attendance.
The attendance restriction makes it hard for students who wish to pursue professional courses like CA/CS/CFA.
Even though the college has a huge infrastructure, not many students like to engage in different activities.

Placement Experience:

After the completion of one's degree, they can opt for placements, this college does over placements and has quite alright of an average package on offer. My plans after getting the degree is to opt for MBA in any of the top IIMs preferably.

A Bitter Sweet Experience In SXUK

Likes

The curriculum of the college is very precise and accurate.
The campus is very clean filled with greenery and the classrooms and bathrooms are clean and tidy.
The faculty in my department (psychology) are outstanding they are really friendly and teach concepts very clearly.

Dislikes

The strict rule the college has with 75% attendance
We cannot enter our classes after 10 am not even being late for 1 minute
The strict rule for dresscode where girls are not allowed to show their skin by wearing sleevless or shorts and also boys are allowed to wear only collared shirts.

From semester 5 the students are eligible for campus placements. The companies like Deloitte, PWC, KPMG, EY, HDFC Bank, IDFC First Bank, Axis Bank, Dabur,Godrej, Britannia, ABP, Reliance, Wipro, Flipkart and many more visit for placements in the campus. Post-graduate students are undergoing rigorous Internship with some of the leading organisation like, Balmer Lawrie, Tractors India Limited, State Bank of India, United Bank of India, Press Trust of India, Friends 91.9 FM, The Times of India, Coal India Limited, Tata Hospital, Hope Foundation etc. I will not be pursuing my line in corporate rather than on the path to be a clinical psychologist

Pro's and cons of SXUK

Likes

The Campus life is pretty good, there are lots of the events taking place which help us to gain extra knowledge and also gives us exposure. The architecture is also pretty big and spacious. There are a lot of extra curricular activities involved here
The course I'm studying that is BMS , Bachelors in Management Studies, has got some pretty good faculty members. They help us in every possible way. Classroom learning is also very easy to us nowadays. Every teacher is very well qualified & dignified
There are several societies like Community service, Culture, Management, Law etc which keeps us involved in our campus life. We get more exposure, learn new things, get to manage events and much more. Also helps us with our social life and in credit

Dislikes

How strict the university is with the attendance
There is no AC in the hostel rooms and the in time is too early
Sometimes the hostel authorities are disrespectful to us

Placement Experience:

Our university has some placement criterias. It is all based on our academics, extra curriculars and field works. The deserved candidates are always awarded with the best placements. But obviously 100 percent placements are not guaranteed

Faculty is very helpful, for any problem if one appraches then they do take action for it.
The discipline and the punctuality that is imparted at every step goes a long way
The extracurricular activities which help developing ones personality

Dislikes

They are very strict with 75 percent attendance
They reduce the attendance by some arbitrary percentages if not attended a class
They charge money if the 75 percent crteria is not met

Placement Experience:

Not so developedfor our department as it us a newly estanloshed college. For our department companies like Fox and Mondal, Genenodia do come. Percentage of students getting placed is very low. Every one here has a connection and sources so they manage.

Campus is big, campus size buildings gardens games room all good
Faculty is nice, teachers are really nice here
Academic is good here for all the courses, cias are taken properly exams are conducted
