Ques. Is CLAT or any entrance exam required for LLB admission at LJSL?
Ans. No, CLAT or any other national entrance exam is not required for the 3-year LLB program at LJSL. Admission is through the Gujarat University centralized online process, based purely on graduation merit (percentage in the qualifying degree). Students from outside Gujarat need to obtain a Provisional Eligibility Certificate (PEC) from Gujarat University before applying.
Ques. What is the difference between the 3-year LLB and the 5-year BBA LLB at LJSL? Which should I choose?
Ans. The 3-year LLB is for graduates (those who have already completed a bachelor's degree in any stream) and focuses exclusively on law subjects. The 5-year BBA LLB is an integrated program for Class 12 students, combining business administration and law. If you are a graduate looking to add a law qualification, the 3-year LLB is the right choice. If you are a Class 12 student planning a career in law from the start, the 5-year BBA LLB is more suitable.
Ques. Does LJSL provide internship opportunities for LLB students?
Ans. Yes, LJSL actively facilitates internships for students under experienced advocates and law firms. The institute encourages students to enroll in multiple internships during the course, providing hands-on experience in legal drafting, court procedures, and client interaction. The Legal Aid Clinic and Lawyer on Wheels initiatives also give students practical exposure to real legal cases and community legal service.
Ques. What are the career options after completing LLB from LJSL?
Ans. LLB graduates from LJSL can pursue careers as advocates (after Bar Council enrollment), legal advisors, corporate lawyers, government legal officers, judicial services aspirants (through state judicial exams), legal researchers, and law professors. Many graduates also pursue LLM for specialization or appear for judicial service examinations. The growing demand for legal professionals in corporate, banking, real estate, and technology sectors makes LLB a versatile degree.
