To gain admission to Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences, candidates must have completed 12th grade with PCB and participated in the NEET-UG entrance exam. For general category students, a minimum NEET score of 286 marks or placement in the 50th percentile is required, along with at least 134 marks in NEET-UG and 50% in 12th standard exams. The faculty is supportive and knowledgeable, although appointments are needed for queries due to the absence of doubt-solving sessions during university hours.

Annually, 20-35 students fail, with 6-7 failing in more than two subjects. Each department has 10-15 faculty members, but the prosthodontics department is noted for delays in approving student work. The university charges a non-refundable fee of Rs 20,000 for Indian students and Rs 40,000 for NRI students. Tuition fees are set at 45,000 INR for all students, with additional fees such as a 3 lakh INR admission fee and a 1,30,000 INR hostel fee.

The total annual expenses, including hostel charges, are approximately 4.2 lakhs INR. The course includes a one-year unpaid internship, primarily conducted on-campus across nine departments. Merit cum scholarships cover only the tuition fee of 45,000 INR. The hostel accommodates around 600 students but faces connectivity issues due to limited WiFi routers. The review highlights the need for a stipend for internships, similar to those in government colleges, as private college students do not currently receive one.
