IIBS COLLEGE

Likes

College atmosphere is great as it is away from the city with less nuisance.
The faculty is great with best experience
The placement department helps students in all the aspects of interview

Placement Experience:

The placement department of the college assured 100 percent of placements with atleast 6 lpa.They are in a way to guide the students till they get placed .Highest package is 51lpa and average salary is 8lpa.

Focus on being clear

Likes

Everything was good about it but the main thing i like abhout the campus is teachers
the canteen was definitely one of the best thing about the price and hygiene
morning prayer routine was very good best to start the morning

Dislikes

The maintenance of the campus was not at all good
the lack of teachers was the reason which was not liked my me
the campus was not clean and overall experience was disliked by me

Course Curriculum Overview:

The first thing was the teachers were very cooperative and the exam time and the difficult level when it is increase the support us while saying that this is the time you can do it and the course of which I choose was a very good for the upcoming future, we can by studying the computers we can acknowledge the AI in the future, which was the very beneficial for our future

Likes

The faculty was really well trained and amazing in teaching.
There were a lot of extra curricular activities
The college provided various inter and intra college fest access, making the students well endowed with necessary skills

Dislikes

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester, and there were various companies who visited that were both MNCs and startups like aegis, Expedia, TCS, Wipro and accenture. The average package is 6LPA, and the percentage of students getting placements is 80%.

An Insider's Perspective on IIBS Bangalore

Likes

Faculties are highly educated and knowledgable
80-90 % of batch gets internship and decent jobs
The intitute also gives support (mock interviews, soft skills, aptitude tests) to prepare students for placement

Dislikes

Campus is not very modern or hi-tech. The campus carries the old design which was designed at the very beggining when intitute was started no futher enhancements and renovations done.
Marketing and sales roles dominate placements. Those who are interested in finance, HR, operations, analytics may find fewer or less options
The surrounding area is underdeveloped interms of commercial and medical facilities.

Placement Experience:

After 1st year students get eligible for placement. Cognizant,Capgemini,Axis Bank,IBM etc visit to campus and offer decnt amount of package dependin on job roles. Highest package was 59 LPA ,Average is 7-8 LPA 80-90% students gets placed. My plan after degree is to get job gain some practical knowledge and after 5 years I'll start my own business.

"Practical Exposures with Strong Academic Support".

Likes

The faculty members are highly knowledgeable and supportive, always ready to guide students in both academic and career related aspects.
The campus life is vibrant and engaging with various clubs, cultural activities,and events that encourage overall personality development.
The placement cell is quit effective and provides good opportunities for internships and final placements.

Dislikes

Although the placements are good,there is still scope for inviting more top tier companies , especially for higher packages.
The administrative processes such as documentation and approvals could be faster and more student friendly.
More focus could be given on industry visits and practical exposures so that students can better related theory with real life situations.

Placement Experience:

In our college students become eligible for placements from the 6th semester. Several reputed companies such as Wipro, infosys and HCL visit the campus every year offering both technical and non technical roles.

A good college for starting your new journey

Likes

I love that our professors are very chill and they encourage us to ask them doubts not only in class but also through text. I really appreciate how they teach us and keep a one to one relation. I feel really comfortable in asking for their advice.
I am really fond of our campus,as one can chill in the amphi or basketball court and also do their academic work in the reading rooms. Every class has a smart board which makes it easy to understand stuff.
As I have opted for a triple major of history, economics and political science I feel they do a pretty good job in making it a theory as well as a practical experience. As they organise many historical walks, some interesting talks and seminars.

Dislikes

One thing I don't like is the very strict dress code which is not that bad but sometimes it gets a little exhausting.

The students are eligible to sit for placement in their final years. The companies which comes for the placement are deloitte, goldmanSachs, amazon and many more reputed companies. And they do make many offers. The highest package reports around 30 LPA and the average goes on around 3 to 4.5 LPA. Around 70-90 percent get placements. My plans is to pursue higher studies.

Likes

Infrastructure of college is well maintained and developed according to the needs of students
Faculty who make sure students are comfortable in approaching them
Students from various states across India come here to study

Placement Experience:

this program follows a trimester system and students are eligible for placements at their 5th trimester. The 6th trimester would be a project report from the placed company. various companies visit the college for placements right from fortune 500 companies to new startups

MCC Bengaluru offers much than just academics. It's an experience!

Likes

Exposure to Hobbies, Extra curricular activities
Fests happening every two to three weeks.
Love the hostel and the food. Annual hostel excursion.

Dislikes

Quantity of assignments and projects for every subject.
Uncooperative, indifferent teachers and counsellors.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is extensive and in-depth. A total of 20 subjects have to be studied in the span of 2 years. There are 2 CIA tests every year. 50% of the CIA marks are carried forward to your annual marksheet.

Great learning experience

The aspect which I appreciated was this college was all girls and now they have made it co-ed, it would be better if it was still all girls college
College has students from all over India, if you're a social person then you can meet new people and new friends
The faculties are very knowledgeable and skillful, very friendly as well.

Dislikes

First thing is that earlier it was all girls and now it's co-ed, I don't like this part
Some blocks washroom needs a proper renovation, though they are clean but it needs a renovation

Placement Experience:

I didn't apply for placement as I was planning to do masters in the same field, but our college has a dedicated placement centre and I use to see various companies visiting college and hiring students

Once a Carmelite, Always a Carmelite!

The lecturers are awesome and their way of conveying things is on a quite different level
A lot of extra curriculars are offered and it has upto almost 60 associations that help students follow their hobbies and passion.
Regular fests conducted in order to maximize students activity and capability to participate and win. My college supports everyone in participating more than winning and is always positive when it comes to a child's mental health.

Dislikes

My canteen does not offer that delicious and fresh food that I would prefer. It also has a very high price for diahes which are sometimes not affordable for students.
There is no ground for sports activity in my college and to participate or to go on sports marathon we have to travel to another ground which is not always convenient.

Placement Experience:

After semester 4 and during semester 5 students become eligible to apply for placement opportunities in the campus. The companies that visit are deloitte, golman sachs, amazon and many other companies and there are many offers made regarding each course of the student and their skills. The highest package offered was 6LPA to a computer science student by goldman sachs as the student was excellent in communicating, leadership and had all the basic skills to stand out from the crowd. Percentage of students getting placement are 96. My plans after getting my degree is to work for 3 to 4 years in a MNC and apply for MBA in a reputed institute.
