A GOVERNMENT COLLEGE FOR GOOD EDUCATION,

Likes

The college has a great infrastructure resembling a rich architectural history of neo classical style. The college building is also a UNESCO site. It is placed in one of the prime location of the city, thus facilitating the ease of student & faculty.
The crowd of the college is also mixed types thus it promotes student interaction within themselves. the teachers are also helpful and of friendly nature, always ready to help whenever possible.
the faculty have a great teaching experience and have a full depth knowledge of their particular subjects with specialization in some of the topics as well. .

Dislikes

Students face problems in finding the chemicals required for the practical and projects as well. Sometimes the chemicals are either not available or are degraded due to improper handling.
Also, the instruments are not functioning and neither they are repaired on a regular basis thus limiting the research projects of students or paying sums for the detection of the samples via the instrument although it should be present in the college
The faculty is regular in its works line, however they have to attend certain meetings and duties related to elections, etc. due to which they are not available for the lectures and practical during that tenure.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is quite up to date as per the evolution in the industry. The modern instrumentations which are use in industries, its working and its principles arealso thought to students in details.

Dislikes

think a major reason for me not liking my college was because my campus was extremely isolated.
The college has excellent faculty members but absolutely disappointed with the poor management
washroom facilities and Infrastructure upgrades and modernization could be done

Course Curriculum Overview:

wish that to expand the campus and its exam faculty members. Bsc is not a difficult course so I am thinking to do MscTeachers were appointed by the government. They were active Students who are seeking good placement should not come to Elphinstone.

College is reputed and known as best college for forensic in Maharashtra
They help us with various courses curriculum coursess

Dislikes

There is no campus play ground or canteen
Lectures are not frequent lack of professors

HBSU in the dream city

Likes

Pratical learning . We have our pratical classes everyday.
A subject called NSS helps us to grow individually and in a group too.
Ambience of the college and faculty is great .

Dislikes

I think a great college requires a good ground which is very small here
And the canteen is also missing here ; it's very important to have one.
Ig network issue is often and ventilation issue is also there.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As a child I was very interested in cases and the skillfulness to solve them. So I got this course on my plate. I think the college needs to renovate the practical labs and also digitalize the classrooms.

Elphinstone college: form my view

Likes

The aspect that should be appreciated is the equality we see in all the departments we celebrate every festival together
The campus is not very big but allows us around 50 to 100 students at a time we celebrate all the college days there very cheerfully
The faculty of teachers are very experienced in their particular and that allows a good understanding of all the subjects to us

Dislikes

The hygiene of the washroom should be maintained and need to be cleaned regularly
The washroom are far away making us difficult as we have washrooms almost to the other end of the corridor as our corridor is very vast
Ths student should be made aware about the various co curriculum activities more

Course Curriculum Overview:

The aspect which made me choose this particular curriculum course is the major subject that I am currently studying is microbiology the curriculum allows us to do general work in the lab and another advanced test including acid-fast staining bacillus staining and a lot more the staff is very particular in making us handy in these tasks the only improvement needed is to maintain the cleanliness in the laboratory environment the frequency of exams is of 6 months every 6 months a semester is taken including the internal, practical and theoretical examinations

I liked my college campus and faculties also
Teaching here is very good and to the point
Faculties are very helpful and guides us appropriately

I chose this course because it is very relevant for the corporate life as it teaches the calculations and accounting. It is not so difficult and is very useful for personal as well as professional life.

Sydenham college

Likes

The library of the college is really peaceful.
Gymkhana is really good for refreshing the mind.

Dislikes

Campus of the college is not that good as expected.
Faculty of the clg is not working that good.

Placement Experience:

Placement of the college is really great. The Placement Cell of the college focuses on all type of opportunities from internships to full time jobs. The average package is around 300000. Companies like KPMG, TCS, Deloitte, SBI, etc. visit for placement.

Yes improvement is there in college for all
The campus life is boring not taking interaction
The bcom classes is good in cllg the studies which they teach so usefull and understanding the syllabus

Dislikes

Stairs there is no lift in cllg for students
The teachers are boring by time and assignment taking
The teachers didn’t give last chance for assignment

Course Curriculum Overview:

The decision was because of my friend he was taking bcom that's why i have also taken but it's good for me im getting it properly The academic pursuits are good for all the sems The improvements are required in sports and the online lectures by then take offline lecture is better to understand in online students are getting boring some of the teachers are taking online lectures like hindi The lecture timings are for 1hours and the exams are according the marks of the paper

Elphinstone College - The best educational institution.

Likes

I've liked the campus as it is peaceful perhaps in Mumbai.
The faculty members are most generous and helpful.
I think girls are more in number than boys and their active participation is considerable.

Dislikes

The college infrastructure is from 19 th century.
So we have to face some issues of stairs as their is no escalator.
College is under renovation so we are facing lot of congestion.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is based on NEP 2020 so now it has changed alot. I thinks this courses are now activity based that each student can participate and go through real world perspectives. Frequency and timing of exams are much suitable that 60 marks written paper have 2 hours time and it is good as of frequency and difficulty level of exam.

It's overall good experience in Sydenham

Likes

The overall teaching staff is so good at the way of teaching is great
The college support for all the event is incredible, principle sir is also supportive
Infrastructure is also good,even though it's not huge but it's good

Dislikes

The canteen could be more hygienic. Feels like it do need more hygiene and more variety of food
The 75% attendance is compulsory, from my pov it should be atleast 60%
Ac should be allowed to used by students even if the lecture is not going

Placement Experience:

The college do offers campus placement as many companies have tieup with Sydenham. If you want to make your base salary good you should definitely join the Sydenham for placement and also the opportunity you will be getting after the graduation is much more better. The last year placement companies were 100.
