What Students Say
Likes
- International exposure and contacts is what I like about my college.
Dislikes
- Limited H1B sponsored companies at career fair is what I felt could do better.
Course Curriculum
- The course syllabus is updated and relevant in a few subjects, but not all
- Yes, I did receive the industrial exposure and research experience
- Mostly 2-3 classes are scheduled in the day, and it depends on what classes we select. I selected all in the morning session.
Admission Experience
- I chose this particular program to learn the subject of Machine Learning and Data Science, as I was interested in data science as my career path. The admission process was very smooth. I like that we have internships offered here that allow us to gain hands-on experience on real-time projects. I appreciate the fact that you receive good support from faculty and staff to learn and publish research papers independently. I like the fact that you work with different people and gain skills likewise.
- My University requires a TOEFL-80 iBT (on the 0-120 scale)/IELTS minimum score of 6.5 overall band. GRE is not a requirement. My scores were GRE 151 verbal, 155 Quant, and 3.5 in Analytical writing, and I scored a 95 in TOEFL
Faculty
- The faculty are very good and are very well versed and approachable. Professor Isaac Kofi Nti has left a deep impact on me.
Campus Life
- Everything is really good, from infrastructure to extracurricular activities and research facilities, sports, and libraries.
Part Time Jobs
- Ample part-time job opportunities are available, and a minimum 10 dollar per hour pay is there. There are applications like Follet.com /Handshake and University websites where they can apply for jobs, ou can also personally mail the store managers to get the job. Only 20 hours are allowed per week for jobs. It depends on luck, to be frank, on getting a job. A lot of students get TA, RA, and DA positions.
Placement
- I am not sure about that, but everyone does get a job in a year, and the average salary will be around 80,000.
Accommodation
- Accommodation can be acquired either on campus or off campus; now we have WhatsApp groups for that. Monthly rent can range from 250 to 600 dollars based on whether you want a shared apartment or a single apartment.
Exams
- Language proficiency test should be so, yes, a Statement of Purpose, 3 LORs, Transcripts, and CV are required for the admission process.
Fees
- $50,458 - https://www.admissions.uc.edu/information/international/finance.html
