Course Curriculum

8

  • The Course Syllabus is really acceptable, it's like a step advance to a bachelor's course, my course covers most of the computer science related subjects, mainly focusing on data and cloud side.
  • We have a capstone project, which actually gives real-time industrial experience
  • I mostly choose two classes per day, so that I can spend my time in university. Our semester is divided into two parts; it's a 6-week course, and I can choose 3-4 subjects per semester. I choose depending on the subject and faculty, I divide my 4 subjects into 2 in fall1, 2 in fall2. Like that, we can choose, so it won't give much stress to learn and work on the assignments, we still have some time to learn something new from attending webinars, workshops outside the university.
  • Mostly, a class can have 12-15 students; only a few classes, like my whole master's, I have a class with 60 students, only that class, the remaining classes have only 12-15, that's it.

Admission Experience

  • Overall, I chose this university because I liked the course structure, faculty, and, most importantly, its budget-friendly nature. It is a well-organized, international, student-friendly university. The admission process is quite simple, acceptance rate of international students is high. I chose this program because I have a prior background in computer science and information systems, so it will definitely help me to learn more in this field.
  • My scores: GRE 320, Duolingo 110. Please make sure your Duolingo score is above 120 or each section above 100, then only we will escape from pre-requisite courses, or else we will fall under those pre-requisites. Depends on the score in each section. I guess my Duolingo has 4 sections. When I wrote, I got 120, 90, 110, 90. If I'm not wrong, due to less than 100 in two sections, I got 2 prerequisites. So, it's my mistake for not taking Duolingo again, due to a lack of time. I want to let you know my mistake, so you guys don't repeat it. I hope it will help you.

Faculty

10

  • Faculty student ratio is 1:12. Faculty and staff are very nice, very helpful, and expressive; they listen to our issues and try to help at the earliest possible time.
  • They help us in many ways, like subjects, events, research, assignments, and learn real-time industrial experience, and sometimes help with online classes. Wilmu has quite a good number of professors are there they have almost 60-70 professors and staff.

Campus Life

8

  • Total Wilmu has 3 campuses: Newcastle, Brandywine, and Dover. Most of the classes and students attend only new Newcastle campus only, and only a few subjects or students choose the other campus.
  • Weekly Wilmu campus conducts a lot of virtual and physical events which help us to get new connections and learn something new..
  • They arrange a lot of food events, fun events, and workshops. Wilmu itself is famous for sports and military training. We have the campus library, which is available on weekdays. It's very spacious and peaceful, and we have snacks inside in library.

Part Time Jobs

  • Wilmu doesn't provide on-campus jobs; they are very rare. Like the overall campus, they give 3-4 international students only working there, but for locals, they give most of the jobs.
  • The maximum on campus is 20 per week. Students only need to apply in person for on-campus jobs or direct contact with Wilmu staff. There is no option available to work outside other than campus in Wilmington.
  • It's very difficult to find an on-campus part-time job. So better not expect on-campus part-time jobs from Wilmu

Placement

8

  • I'm not sure about employment within 6 months; it purely depends on the individual. Most of the students I got to know are all within their grace period, which means 90 days of completing their master's.
  • Average salary, I'm not sure, it might be between 80000$-150000$ depends on the course
  • Getting a job after college purely depends on personal things, such as connections, referrals, number of years of experience previously they have, internships, everything matters after grad.
  • Make more connections, try to be in touch with faculty, attend events, workshops, and spend most of the time on campus so that we get some leads that really matter to succeed.

Accommodation

Off Campus
6

  • I got my accommodation through my senior, whom I used to know from the past 3 years. It's very easy to find accommodation off campus. There are some WhatsApp or Telegram groups available; if we post our needs available, most people will get a response. Monthly rent depends on the number of people living in that house, it costs around 500-700$ or maybe less than that amount.

Exams

  • I wrote two exams: GRE, Duolingo
  • Documents: SOP, 3 LORS, B.Tech Certificates, passport, I-94, US address, contact details, I don't remember the rest, sorry.

Fees

  • Tuition fee is very structured, common people can afford it, overall master's can finish in less than 20000$. I think credit costs 580-590$, so each semester we have 3 subjects, so it costs per semester 5300$, so total for 10 subjects it costs17000-18000$, we can finish our masters. So careful about requisite courses. Try to avoid getting prerequisites.
