What Students Say
Likes
- Campus, People, Gym, Professors, Great to make new friends
Course Curriculum
- Classes are 1.5 hours each. For each subject, you will have 2 classes a week. You are supposed to take three subjects in a semester, so a total of 3 subjects and 6 classes in a week.
Admission Experience
- It had comparatively okayish fees compared to other universities. Tbh, college doesn't matter unless you stay in good places like California, New-York. If any student wants to come to the US, consider only those universities with lower fees, so that if you don't get a job here (because of bad market conditions), you can bear the loss. Don't have the hopes of getting a job or any internship. Experience also doesn't matter, it's purely upto the luck for you to get a job.
- GRE, TOEFL, VISA Appointment. BE confident in your visa interview
Faculty
- For the CS batch, it goes 45-55 students in a class. Other classes can go upto 25-30.
Campus Life
- Most of the fests and event happens on FAll, and barely any event happens in the Spring season. There are also a lot of international students here at my university. Also, a lot of Indians can't help it. Free food events are held occasionally.
Part Time Jobs
- Especially CS students, you will not TA as competition is very high. Also, my friends who were TA, they got fired becuase University says they don't have funding for giving TA roles as the number of international students coming tothe US has declined significantly. We Indians were providing a lot of revenue to US universities. But because of this, Trump and visa issues, no one is coming here, so that's why there are funding issues, and that triggers this condition.
Placement
- In this bad market condition, I could hardly see anyone getting a job. I'd suggest that if you can bear the loss of 40-50 lakhs and can take the risk of not getting employed after graduation, then only come to the US. Again, don't expect that you will get a job. It's nearly impossible.
- From my 1st semester, I was confident that I would not get a job. Idk why I came here, honestly. Literally maine khadda khoda hai aur usme maine jump kiya hai. Aab doobna baki reh gaya hai bass.
Accommodation
- I have On campus Accomodation, which is around $400 per month. Groceries can go upto $50-75 per month according to your needs. Friend referral is most effective for getting good housing.
Exams
- GRE, TOEFL.
- Documents - SOP, LOR, Transcripts, Resume
Fees
- Mine is 14 lakhs per semester, including university insurance.
