- The location of the university is great - it's in downtown Manhattan, right beside the Brooklyn Bridge and within walking distance of WTC and Wall Street
- The fees are lower compared to other colleges. For my program, it was around $52K, which was further reduced by the merit scholarship I received.
- The faculty and staff are extremely supportive and approachable. The professors were always available if I needed any and they were very understanding.
Dislikes
- The classes that I took had majority of Indian students, which made it feel like I was still in India. There was not much scope to experience the cultural diversity in the classes.
- The New York Campus being comparatively smaller than the other campus, had limited number of on campus jobs were limited and most of the available positions were usually filled through referrals by students who already worked there. Each school buildings dispersed within a radius 2-3 blocks.
- Had a few mandatory courses for IS, which were very basic and not all were waived off even though I had studied the same during my Bachelors.
Campus Life
- Pace University has two campuses: the New York City campus, located in downtown Manhattan, right next to the Brooklyn Bridge, and the Pleasantville campus in Westchester County. I studied at the NYC campus. The NYC campus does not have large sports grounds due to limited space, but it has a gym with all the equipment and a basketball court. At the NYC campus, we have a library, computer labs, and study rooms for individuals and groups. It also has a health care centre.
- In terms of student life, there are many events, workshops and celebrations going on throughout the year. At Pace, PISA (Pace Indian Student Association) is one of the most active student groups. They organise celebrations for Indian festivals like Holi, Diwali and Eid. And yes there is amazing Indian food served at the Diwali celebration!!!
- From what I have heard, there is also a drama club, a dance club, a knitting club and an LGBTQ club. The clubs organise various socializing events. One event that I participated in was going to a Broadway show called "& Juliet" the tickets to which were sponsored by the LGBTQ club. One of my friends was part of the knitting club, where they used to meet on specific days of the week and knitting together helping each other out when someone is stuck. New knitters were also welcomed and they taught them how to knit.
- Apart from cultural events, the career services organizes career-related workshops such as resume-building sessions, LinkedIn workshops, interview preparation sessions, and career fairs.
- Although the NYC campus is smaller, there are still several clubs and student organizations one can join based on your interests. The area around the campus, being in the heart of Manhattan, also provides many extracurricular opportunities outside the university, from tech meetups to cultural festivals and public events.
Accommodation
- I opted for off-campus accommodation in Jersey City because the on-campus dorms and most NYC rentals were very expensive. I was able to find my first apartment through a friend who was already living in Jersey City. The rent for that apartment was $1,150, which I shared with my friend (rent for me: $575). I felt the rent was higher for the apartment, as it was a basement unit, with no sunlight at all, but all the utilities were included in the rent. When I moved to the USA, I was living with a friend as I did not have any accommodation, and even though my friend did not mind me staying at her place, I wanted to find a place for myself asap, and after looking for 1-2 weeks, I ended up in the basement unit.
- Jersey City is technically in a different state, but it is very well connected to Manhattan through the PATH trains, so many of the Indian students studying in NYC prefer staying there. It takes around 30–50 minutes to reach the university, depending on the location. Most Indian students also prefer staying in Jersey City because it is more affordable compared to Manhattan and has a large Indian community. There is even a street called 'Indian Street' with Indian grocery stores and restaurants.
- Finding a good house is not easy, especially close to the start of the semester. So I would suggest starting to look for a place in India itself. Get in touch with the students from the university who are already in the USA and ask them for help. Having a house before you land in the USA, because there is a very high probability that you would end up compromising either by having to pay higher rent or a not-so-good house. Join as many housing groups as you can, and make friends with the students coming in for your intake, so you can find a house with them. Looking for a single room is harder than looking for an entire house.

- Extracurricular activities in which Pace university conducts many activities every week in which every student can join and enjoy for free.
- Academics at Pace University as I already mentioned our university provides numerous career opportunities which can help us to stand out in this current market.
Dislikes
- On-campus Part time opportunities which are very difficult to get.
- Transportation service, as there is no any transportation service in NYC campus for students like other universities provide.
- Tuition fees, as most of the students will get scholarships which is fine but if a person who didn't get any kind of scholarship might witness huge amount of tuition fees.
Campus Life
- Our university conducts almost 3 events every week which are helpful and enjoyable like tech events, clubs, fun events etc.
- My university has 2 Campuses the main campus is located at Westchester NY, whereas the other one is located in NYC. Many of the Indian students prefer to study at NYC campus. My university have all type of facilities be it a library, indoor ground and medical support hall. Based on the occasions in a particular week my university conducts every possible event for both international and domestic students. It includes various fun activities, free food, dance and music etc.
Accommodation
- I live at off campus and it's easy to get off campus accommodation as there are many groups to find accommodation. Initially we might face challenges to get a right group but once we get a right accommodation group it's easy to find one. I recommend everyone to keep looking all the accommodation groups carefully and find a right accommodation and be carefully while paying the money if they ask as they are many scams going around us.

- Class scheduling feasibility: The subject availability and scheduling are very feasible with regards to professors and timings.
Dislikes
- Tuition Fees: Per credit cost is high
- On-campus part-time job opportunities are limited
- Small Campus: As being in the middle of the city, there isn't much campus space outside.

Accommodation
- For accommodation, Pace University students mostly stay in Jersey City, New Jersey, which is quite affordable and easy to commute to. We found the apartments on the Zillow app, which is mainly for searching for apartments for rent.
- For sharing room: $350 and Private room: $750
- Electricity—Approx. $65 and Wi-Fi—$35 (200 Mbps)
- The difficulties we faced were that the apartment should be close to a walkable commute to the subway station and nearby grocery stores.
- For future students, find apartments that are within a 10-minute walkable distance of Journal Square PATH Station to commute to New York.
- 12 min walk to Path station from the apartment, 10 min subway commute, and 10 min walk to university. Approx. 30 minutes

- So basically the university is in the middle of the New York so u will be getting the NY vibes alot.
- The classes uses high technology boards and tv's to to teach u and the way the interact will be unique and also the wifi is pretty damn good.
- You will be getting alot of free food in the campus daily.
Dislikes
- I have taken master's in data science and till now they've been teaching me python only.
- Inspite of having all these high end technology for job hunt they wont actually prepare u for those like they wont be teaching u stuff like apache spark, airflow and snowflake like tools.
- The administrator never responds to u properly and also they take alot of time.
Campus Life
- There many events conducted on campus u will be finding wide variety of events in our uni such as tea and coffee where u will get the chance to interact with ur seniors and also the people who are doing on campus jobs and try to get their referral through them and mostly for every event u will be getting free food which is quite motivation for most of the students living here.
- Most popular events would be Job events where most of the companies come and reject onspot and saying ur not us civilian and also ask documents which u dont have.
Accommodation
- Off campus and my monthly expenses would be like around $600 and if we break it down then the rent is $430, for travelling $70 and for food it would be $100. i didnt search for accomodation i got it through my senior's friend referral and mostly we can search for houses at whatsapp and telegram , i didnt face any troubles when i was securing accommodations, my recommendation would be look into into whatsapp groups and also telegram and plan for it as soon as possible.
- I stay in NJ so i have to take one train to reach world trade center and from there i just have to walk and to university it is quite near to me.

- affordable fee structure, scholarship, location and easy to network with other people.
- The infrastructure and the location, on campus faculties and the recreational rooms and labs. its located next to Brooklyn bridge so you will never get bored for sure.
Dislikes
- Due to current market scenario we are not having internships in hand, the on campus jobs are also very limited. so, yes expenses takes a toll on your mental health.
Campus Life
Its all 2024 technology, we have everything here all the updated labs, facilities, the only thing is being a masters student, I wont get much time to explore everything on campus due to hectic schedule.
Accommodation
I live in a shared apartment and the average rental is USD500 excluding taxes and other expenses.
Accommodation
THE ACCOMODATION IS AVERAGE AND THE COST IS HIGH SO I WOULD SUGGEST LIVE ON COMPUS FOR AN YEAR ONLY AND MAKE A LOT OF FRIENDS AND LATER GET AN APARTMENT OR LIVE ON OFF CAMPUS WITH THEM
GREAT COLLEGE LOCATED IN THE HEART OF THE CITY, HAVING A GREAT RETURN ON INVESTMENTS
Accommodation
I stay in Jersey City which is approx 20 minutes by train from NY and accommodation is affordable here when shared with others based on your budget. Can get a $300-500 per month rate in a decent flat.
Faculty and location is the main reason. The research in my field from this college made me choose this college. Also, NYC is the financial hub of the world, and studying in a college with such a great alumni network will definitely help me in my professional career.
It's one of the few colleges with an arts management program and it's in an amazing location. I got into several more selective college but Pace offered me admission to the honors college & gave me a lot of scholarships. I applied to eight colleges and was accepted to four. I graduated a year early with a 3.8 GPA. The Pace application was 50 bucks.
