• I am in the 1st year of my course, so I don’t have much experience regarding the placement experiences of my batchmates.
• Qualcomm, NVIDIA, Apple, Particle, and other hardware industries work in fabrication and embedded fields.

• We used Google Maps to find nearby renting apartments near campus and directly applied via referrals from seniors we connected with on LinkedIn. I would be happy to help my juniors find one.
• The monthly rent is $2930 with all facilities like a pool, garden, open area, parking, etc.
• Finding accommodation was not a challenge for me.
• Diplomat Apartments, Dorchester Apartments, and Penthouse Apartments.
• My apartment is around 1 mile away from the main campus.

• The job market since last 2 years has been difficult but in general, 50% of the students are able to secure full-time employment. The average salary range for a bioinformatics job is from $80k-$120k.
• To find jobs, actively attend career fairs, be proactive in job searches on LinkedIn and cold-mail recruiters. Many of my friends secured jobs in Illumina and UCSD research jobs through LinkedIn applications.

• I found my accommodation through Facebook, WhatsApp, and Telegram groups. Initial search for incoming students in the same situation as me was difficult. Searching in college groups is the first step to getting more connections for accommodation searches and teaming up with other students in the same boat as us.
• I found a group that had finalised on renting a 3-bedroom townhouse 5 minutes walking distance from SDSU and we shared it among 6 people. Our rent was $3300, which got divided up into $550 per person + $50 utilities.

• Around 80% of students secure a job within six months of completing their course. Graduates typically earn about $85,000 per year, depending on their job role, experience, skill set and the industry they choose.
• Students use different methods to find jobs after graduation, including: LinkedIn, Career Fairs, reaching out directly to companies or recruiters via email or walk-in, Online Portals (Indeed and Handshake) and Referral from faculties and seniors.
• Some major companies that hire graduates from the program include: ServiceNow, Apple, ASML

• Using online groups from my consultancy and approaching seniors for help resulted in solid options for living spaces.I paid $2800 a month for a 2BHK apartment. The apartment is furnished with facilities such as a swimming pool, refrigerator, washing machine, dishwasher, gas stove, oven, and storage space.The challenge was there weren't many Indian students, so it was hard for me to find accommodation.
• However, after some time and effort, I got to a good place.
• Tips for Future Students: I would encourage contacting seniors on LinkedIn; theyoffer great advice and help with a good place to stay.
• The distance from campus is maybe about 1 mile, so it's very easy and convenient tocommute.Most Indian students prefer staying in Penthouse, Dorchester, and Diplomat apartments. They are about 1 mile from the college and offer a comfortable, student-
  friendly environment.

• Some of the students in their second year got internships and some got co-op, so everyone got some experience in internships. Generally they are placed in local San Diego companies; San Diego also has a lot of IT companies.
• Major companies that hire or where the alumni are working are Qualcomm, Apple and Amazon

• I live in Dorchester Apartments (1.2 miles away from campus). The seniors are super helpful; they helped us get accommodation.
• For a 2B2B, the rent is around $2700-3000 depending upon apartment size.
• The main challenge was a guarantor, who should be living and earning in the USA. So if you have any relatives in the USA, that would be great or one of your roommates should have a guarantor in the USA.
• Incoming students can ping any seniors on LinkedIn; they will help with accommodation at off-campus apartments.
• Generally, Indian students live in Dorchester, Penthouses, or Diplomat Apartments. These are opposite each other and about 1.2 miles from the university.

There were no campus placements for us. All my peers got jobs by networking and interviewing with companies themselves.

It was a very learning experience for me. I gained a bunch of research opportunities, network with academic professionals via conferences, very supportive professors, ample on-campus job opportunities to help with sustenance.

A few campus fairs but not very helpful for international students. Opportunities available for ones willing to work hard.

Close to silicon Valley, course structure flexible and adaptable.

If you apply early there are many job opportunities but they are snatched up quickly by people wanting to work on campus. I believe pay is between 12-15 an hour. I estimate 30% of students work on campus but that's just a guess.

San Diego had always been a dream city for me. It's metropolitan but also has chill areas like the beach. It's a state school so as a California resident it was an affordable choice. The college campus is a moderate size and has beautiful architecture. The area the college is in feels like it's own community.

I have not looked this far into job opportunities and such just because I'm so young and I still feel like I'm early in my college career but from what I have heard is that it is good. I'm kind of worried about job opportunities since my GPA isn't so high but I'm working on it.

I decided to opt for this particular college because they were giving me the most financial assistance compared to some of the other universities that I got into. It's also a great school in a great location.

We are already working professionals for this masters degree. Our advisors try to work our thesis or project around creating a job opportunity for ourselves if we want to. So if you are not happy with your current position you can help create one for yourself.

Great professors and advisors. I had a previous education experience with them and know their value. I also love that service Learning is a major part of the program. They encourage us to be politically active in our practice.

Almost everyone in CS gets placed. In US there is no oncampus concept. All you have to do is apply online and through network.

Because of the coursework and location. The college also had a limited strength in CS so that the professor can focus on individuals
