Any insights into how your institute could be more welcoming to students of different races or economic backgrounds?
Making tolerance and inclusion a priority is one of the most important aspects of developing cultural variety and awareness. It has been strictly communicated to students, faculty/staff that discriminatory and harassing behavior will not be tolerated at any cost around the campus. Simultaneously, it is also reviewed to review admissions and administrative procedures to find and eliminate any unintentionally discriminatory regulations. We develop a foundation of inclusiveness and tolerance throughout the campus by promoting campus diversity and equality, signaling to community members that diversity awareness and cultural variety are vital.
What do you think your roles and responsibilities to the institution and the students are?
To manage faculty resources, administrative staff, and other college resources. Develop and implement faculty development programs. Enhance and implement an academic program for students along with their placements.
What do you think should be the institution’s top priority over the next 10 years?
In the next 10 years, we have decided to prioritize certain aspects. We have to go for the NBA in 2023. We are also applying for NIRF RANKING. Excellence lab to be upgraded from time to time. I aspire to have progressed as far as feasible in my position. I adore this field and believe it is the best long-term option for me. I would like to continue working in a collaborative setting where each individual can achieve their full potential. I envision my ideas having a greater beneficial impact on the organization, and I intend to use my communication and leadership talents to achieve this.

What are some of the biggest challenges you see, both for higher education in general and for the IEC Group of institutions specifically?
Higher education in India has several issues. You must go through an investigation. However, I will attempt to list some of them such as Levels of Government, Regulatory Mechanisms, Institution-Managements, Faculty, Students, and Curriculum and Instructional Design.
Several governments have failed to provide appropriately for higher education. Several commissions and committees have suggested that the education sector get at least 6% of GDP, with higher education accounting for 1.5 percent. Only 0.89 percent of the budget has been devoted to higher education so far. The government should make a policy for higher education on top priority. The current government took more than six years to release NEP 2020. Even after that, the implementation of the plan has been slow.
The higher education system in India is heavily regulated but poorly administered. The regulatory organizations have taken a tough stance and have succumbed to the policeman syndrome. A mutually trusted regulating framework is required. Stakeholders should also be held accountable by regulatory organizations. Regulatory organizations should refrain from putting public and private higher education institutions against one another. They should endeavor to take advantage of each sector’s strengths to generate synergy for the country’s benefit. University autonomy should be preserved. Accountability, on the other hand, must be ensured. For this reason, appropriate policies should be developed. There are a few bad apples who try to take advantage of the system’s flaws. Instead of passing blanket instructions that strangle the entire system, they should be dealt with harshly.
The management’s first concern should be to improve the quality of education given. Currently, government-owned institutions are unaccountable, and faculty and staff are undisciplined. Profits are more important to private institutions. Both public and private entities must adjust their perspectives. It is necessary to hire qualified professors. This is what necessitates paying a higher wage. However, a policy of both carrots and sticks is essential. Faculty with poor performance should be weeded out as soon as possible. Academic leaders such as HODs, Deans, Heads of admissions, Branding & Promotion, Principals, and Vice Chancellors should be trained and nurtured by management. Similarly, enhancing faculty capability will necessitate extra work. For activities such as research and co-curricular activities, adequate funding should be made accessible.
The ideas of self-learning and lifelong learning should be embraced and followed by faculty. They should strive to upgrade their knowledge and skills regularly.
Faculty should become familiar with collaborative learning, differentiated instruction, and the development of critical thinking and problem-solving skills in students. They should behave as Gurus and make themselves available to students outside of class hours as well.
Students must shift their focus from obtaining degrees to gaining knowledge and developing skills. They should aim to be employable rather than long after placements.
The curriculum should be rigorous, current, and aligned with society's requirements, especially those of industry. The majority of universities currently follow obsolete curricula. The majority of educational institutions do not distinguish between curriculum and syllabus. Liberal education and a choice-based credit system should be prioritized.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and the aspiring students?
My suggestion to young youth is that do not go for certificates, go for the knowledge and skills, it will increase the chances of them being hired by a company but if they only depend on the certificate soon they may be fired from the company. Everyone should respect time because time always respects them. Don’t just spend time or just do time pass but think about how you can wisely invest time which can make a difference in your life. Youth are suggested to develop the skill of concentrating on one thing at a time and staying with it till it is done. Constantly work towards increasing their attention span, especially for those things that can make a major difference in their life.
Make a list of all the activities that they have to do in a day. Now go through the activities and write the alphabets P or G next to each where p stands for pleasure-seeking and G stands for goal-achieving. At the end of the, they should go through their list and check how much percentage time they have spent on pleasure-seeking activities and how much percentage time they have spent on goal-achieving activities. Also, they should try to make themselves good human beings. Aspiring students are also advised to upgrade their skills and knowledge according to the latest technology and always maintain an interface with industries
How do you tend to establish a healthy relationship and environment in your institute?
As a leader, I must establish a healthy and positive environment among students, faculty, and staff. For this, I developed a positive relationship with students and parents starting with the first day of the Institute. From time to time meetings are held with students and they float their ideas to improve the teaching-learning process. Their significant and positive ideas are considered for their all-round development. As and when students are motivated and appreciated for their academic performance, cultural activities performance, or any other activities, it develops a good and healthy environment on campus.
As Head of Admissions, Branding & Promotion I also must give a sense of energy to faculty and staff. For this, I take care of them. I always try to recognize the employees and encourage their quality of work. They have also been given the freedom to share their ideas in the interest of the institute. For their exceptional work, they are awarded according to the rules and regulations. I strongly believe in respect and trust for each other. This gives way to a healthy work environment. Always try to promote work in a group which signifies their work and leadership ability. As a leader, I try to resolve their issues which helps me to build a positive platform at the workplace. Last but not least; I would like to say that a happier atmosphere provides a wondrous morale among them.
