As per NDTV and some other news sources, the CBSE Class 10th result can be declared on April 14, 2026 (before the declared tentative date, which is April 20, 2026). The early release of results is to provide sufficient time to students to prepare for Phase 2 exams.

In 2025, Aarav Malhotra from Greater Noida and Shristi Sharma from Panchkula scored a perfect 500 out of 500 marks in the CBSE Class 10th exam.
Many schools set minimum percentage criteria for the selection of subjects in class 11th. Generally, 75-80 or above students can take any subject of their choice, 60-70% students can take commerce or arts, and students with below 60% can take arts.
To pass the CBSE Class 10th exam, candidates must score 33% in each subject, covering both theory and internal assessment. Candidates must score at least 27 marks out of 80 in theory and passing marks out of 20 in internal assessment.
