Dr. M. NAGARJUNA is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and currently serving as HOD at the Brilliant Institute of Engineering and Technology, Hyderabad. He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree (BE) in Mechanical Engineering from CBIT, Hyderabad, Telangana in the year 1999 and completed a Master of Engineering (ME) in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Production Engineering from Osmania University, Hyderabad, Telangana. In the year 2007, he was awarded a Ph.D. from Osmania University, Hyderabad Telangana in the year 2002. He has published more than 10+ research papers in various international and national journals and International conferences. He has guided more than 80 UG and PG-level projects.

What is the latest program that you are offering at the Brilliant Institute of Engineering and Technology that will help students outperform and stand apart from the crowd?
Software developers, web designers, software testers, and mobile app developers are just a few of the fields where computer programmers can work. Computer programming is no longer exclusive to the IT business. The demand for computer programmers has risen dramatically as a result of robotics and artificial intelligence. Students were trained in various computer programs and placed in MNC companies with high packages.
What strategy do you employ for building an efficient work team?
The strategy that we employ for building an efficient work team is by providing job satisfaction. Employees feel acknowledged and appreciated for their contributions. Team members are committed to collaboration within and outside their department. There is a sense of community among team members and the company as a whole. Secondly, we focus on training and development. New hires are qualified and/or trained immediately to fulfill their job position. Evolving company policies and compliance requirements are communicated. Incentives are used to drive training/developmental initiatives forward.
Thirdly, we aim to provide the right tools for the job. Office supplies are readily available. Physical tools and machines are in good working condition. Internet connection is fast and reliable. Hardware and software are updated/upgraded as needed. Finally, we focus on the company culture and work environment. When it comes to the factors affecting job performance, few things are as important as company culture. Culture sets procedural and behavioral norms within an organization, including policies, goals, attitudes, and expectations. Organizational culture is a crucial factor
How does the program ensure that students are being prepared for the future?
The program ensures that the students are being prepared for the future by ensuring student mentoring and counseling are provided by guiding them with research and helping them to interact with Industries. We organize Technical Contests such as Project contests, Programming contests, quizzes, Group Discussions, Mock Interviews, Mobile App Development, and Multimedia, web Design Contests, Awards, and rewards for Toppers.

What are the factors that make this program the best for the students to opt for?
The factors that make this program the best for the students to opt for are that the TASK program is conducted with the support of the Telangana government. We have a career guidance and counseling program and a CRT program.
What will you say are the “best practices” in the course you’re offering?
The training programs help students achieve their goals and responsibility for society. It increases productivity and performance. There is uniformity of work processes which leads to reduced supervision. There is improved organizational structure and improved knowledge of policies and goals.
What was the most proud moment in your career so far?
My proudest moment in my career so far is during the Lion Club Association gave me the best teacher award for my service which helped a lot of students achieve their goals and was helpful to the poor people.
What do you find most difficult about being a Head of the Department?
Being the HOD, there are a lot of challenging tasks daily and I have to be active and I have to ensure that everything is going well. Some of the activities which I usually take up include planning team-building activities, ensuring team connections improving collaborations, and learning and reviewing feedback.
