Dr. D. Christopher Vimalson is the Professor and HOD of Pharmaceutics at the United College of Pharmacy in Coimbatore. He has pursued an M.Pharm. and Ph.D. from Annamalai University, Chennai. He has published many research papers in national and international journals. Furthermore, he has many years of experience in the field of academics and research.

What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?
The pursuit of continuous knowledge has come to be recognized as a worthwhile and enduring undertaking that is essential for one's personal and professional growth. It necessitates a mindset that goes beyond the confines of conventional education and values lifelong learning.
The education systems in India and other foreign countries are structured very differently. In your experience, what can an inbound student gain from studying here in your institute?
Our setting is made to support both creative and methodical learning while maintaining a democratic emphasis on the individual student. These two nations have quite different educational environments. In schools, students' performance is highly regarded, and they face harsh consequences. We truly think that both helping potential/slow learners and enhancing the performance of quick learners is important. This well-thought-out and enhanced learning environment will be very beneficial to new pupils.
Any insights into how your institute could be more welcoming to students of different races or economic backgrounds?
It is located 4 kilometers from Mettupalayam Road in Coimbatore on a 40-acre, spacious campus at Periyanaickenpalayam. The college is situated on a campus that offers the ideal setting for different learning styles. To meet the needs of the community, hospitals, and industry by providing value-based pharmaceutical education through ongoing facility and infrastructure upgrades for practice, learning, and research.

What do you think your roles and responsibilities to the institute and the students are?
Assign students to classes and organize and teach them the material using the school's curricula, programs, and work procedures. Assess, monitor, record, and share the learning goals, developments, and successes of the allocated pupils. Help ensure that the policies, methods, and procedures of the educational institution are in line with its mission and core values by participating in their creation, implementation, and evaluation.
What would you like people to know about your institute they may not know?
Our United Educational Trust runs the following institutions: the United Institute of Technology, the United College of Pharmacy, the United College of Medical Sciences, the United College of Arts and Science, the United College of Physiotherapy, and the United Public School.
What do you see as your college’s greatest strengths?
Exceptional features have long been a goal of the United Educational Institutes (UEI). Every effort is made to improve the best practices in education currently used by the sector. The administration and staff of UEI go above and beyond to ensure that the institute serves as a national model for other educational institutions.
