Mr. Anshul Jaiswal is the Director at Satpuda College of Engineering, Balaghat. An engineering graduate, he also holds a master’s degree in nanoelectronics and nanotechnology and is also pursuing a PhD in Electrical, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering and Instrumentation. Before his present job role, Mr. Jaiswal worked in the industry at organisations like Tata Teleservices, Cognizant Technology Solutions and Moonraft Innovation Labs. He has also worked as Director of Satpuda Valley Public School, and Satpuda Industrial Training Institute Group.

You have held key positions at education institutes throughout your professional career. What keeps you connected with the Education Sector and how has your experience been so far with the institute?
Education promotes the right way of life. It assists us in our development, gets us professional jobs, fulfil our dream careers, and also leaves an impact in this ever-changing world. However, the problem is that learners resist using it most of the time because they do not know its significance. Education enables people to manage large organizations and also generates more employment opportunities with the acquired knowledge and skills. Education also plays an imperative role in the personality development of the students.
Being the Director of (Satpuda College of Engineering & Polytechnic, Balaghat), what is your philosophy of leadership? How would you describe your leadership style?
I rely on trustful working relationships. I work with my subordinates, which creates a positive atmosphere for working on tasks. Therefore, I deem it fit to support my personnel in embracing workplace accountability for their work but at the same time provide them with the right tools and resources that they may need for the job.
How do you strategize about the key programs and plans for the marketing and administration of your school being the Director of (Satpuda College of Engineering & Polytechnic, Balaghat)?
To ensure successful marketing for the school, it’s important to start by defining the goals for the campaign. Once the desired results are established, it’s essential to identify any challenges or areas that need attention in order to achieve these goals. These challenges should then be included in a strategic plan designed to achieve the desired outcomes. This strategic marketing approach will help ensure that the school is marketed effectively and in the right way.

The education systems in India and other foreign countries are structured very differently. In your experience, what can an inbound student gain from studying here in your institute?
An inbound student studying at an Indian institute can get exposure to a different structure of education, a large and diverse student population, cultural richness, and practical experience in a fast-growing economy. We also provide specialized knowledge in areas of India’s strength like IT, BPO, etc. Whereas these may not be as easily available in their home countries thereby developing cross-cultural competency and getting a global perspective all at the same time.

Our curriculum is another way by which best industry practices are ensured. We do so by integrating the current trends, skills and technologies in the industry within the content of the

In the long run, it provides the students with the knowledge as well as the skills that will enable him or her to perform well in the chosen area of specialization.
Any insights into how (Satpuda College of Engineering & Polytechnic, Balaghat) could be more welcoming to students of different races or economic backgrounds?
To make a multicultural school environment comfortable for students from different racial and socioeconomic backgrounds teachers should learn about their students and their experiences. They can then reflect this diversity in what they teach and how they teach, promote discussions about cultural differences, and provide resources for struggling students regardless of their color or financial state. This will ensure every student feels important and unique.
What do you think your roles and responsibilities to the University and the students are?
Being a faculty member in a university, my duties include teaching and enforcement of effective instructional strategies, facilitating the learning of students, undertaking scholarly research activities, serving in the school’s intellectual community besides promoting the learning climate. This way, by staying committed to the values and traditions of the university, you guarantee that the learners receive the best academic outcomes and assistance from the very start and to the end of their studying process.
What do you think should be the University’s top priority over the next 10 years?
Many innovative universities are exhibiting active, blended, hybrid learning, turned classroom, and inquiry or problem-based learning, which are trends in teaching and learning to serve the student’s educational needs. These universities are always reinventing themselves trying to alter the teaching and assessing practices to the new ones that could teach the students what they need in the future.
What would you like people to know about your institute they may not know?
We have thoroughly reviewed the academic programs, various opportunities for extracurricular learning, and the facilities at the school. We are confident that our school is equipped with the necessary facilities and services to guarantee that the students are able to fulfil their academic and individual aspirations. For current youth and aspiring students, consider these key factors for success: Engagement in ongoing education, the ability to appreciate the various points of view, deep interaction with the community, excellent critical thinking, perseverance in one’s interests, focus on mental health, and willingness to make a difference.
